The Kubey Akino Folding Knife is a slender knife with a distinctive design and many superior qualities. The drop point blade is extremely sharp and made from 14C28N Stainless Steel. It locks into place with a solid and secure back lock mechanism and features a channel allowing one handed opening.

The handle comes in a choice of either jade or black G10 which is extremely tough. There is a removable pocket clip attached for left or right hand carry.

Where to start?

Something a bit special about this knife. Not often a lockback pops up mixes it up a bit. It may be a bit marmite to some but I really like this - it’s different and its a modern take on a more traditional form. Fit and finish is very good, black G10 looks great with the liners sitting a little proud of the scales. 14c28n blade has got a lot going for it in terms of practicality. This is not single handed opening, there is a pretty strong detent 1/2 way (90° position) when opening. Very sturdy, nice materials and feels like it’s going to last. Very pleased with it.
