Kbar USMC
I have just received one of these, and so have not had chance to try it on wood cutting etc yet. But I am already very impressed with it's quality of build, very sharp out of the box, the knife feels very good in the hand which is why many British servicemen bought it to replace the Fairburn Sykes knife which although a great knife turned in the hand when wet. I have one of those and I can see the problem, although it does feel beautiful a real collectors knife. I have the Harsey Spartan version which is a modern copy, also bought from Hennies a few years ago and the level of engineering in it is astounding. The leather sheath of the Kbar is very nice, made well from leather that really smells lovely, unusual these days. All in all I am very satisfied with the knife, of course I have to put it to the test yet, but I may well not do, because as a collector I don't want to mark the blade.
