The Jose da Cruz Small Pocket Knife Deer Horn is a very nice little compact and streamlined penknife.
What sets it apart from similar knives of this type is the rock solid brass ferule that acts as a very secure, tough "ring lock". The blade is INOX stainless steel in a clip point slash spear point form whilst the handle is very solid deer horn well suited to the rough and tumble of the outdoor life!
Fits the small leather sheath. See below.

For the money it’s great, comfortable and the steel takes a very sharp edge easily. I use a a daily pocket knife so don’t need a blade that’s ok for heavy use but this is certainly sharp
The only reason I've given this 5 Stars is that I can't give it 6! Having bought a larger Jose da Cruz knife (carbon steel blade) for daily use, I had to have this as a collector's piece. It's robust, with a very firm locking collar mechanism, which seems perfectly safe to use. The handle is a little short in length to fit my broader grasp, but my little finger snuggles comfortably over the end. No probs... The only minor issue I have, with both knives, is that the corner of the back edge (blade folded) is extremely sharp (having been milled 'square', presumably), and can be painful on the hand, and on the inside off a pocket!!!! Just a few seconds with a diamond file and wet-and-dry resolved that. Even as bought, the knives are perfectly usable, but I'd recommend the purchase of a suitable leather belt pouch and judicious use of a lanyard. Thanks for the quick and reliable service, HH - delightful as always!
Lovely little knife . Well built. Thank you HH.
