Had this knife for a year now and it's still an incredible knife. It's showing it's age and then some but It's been well used and abused in the time I've had it, yet it still goes strong. For just shy of £4 I'd recommend these all day long.

The Hultafors Craftsmans Craftsman's Knife HVK is a knife developed and adapted to suit the needs of craftsmen, manufactured in Japanese knife steel.
A unique method for attaching the sheath around a button on your work clothes means it does not loosen, but is easy to remove. The knife blade is manufactured in 2.5 mm carbon steel that has been hardened to 58-60 HRC. The cutting edge has been sharpened in several stages with a final honing on a leather strop. The handle and sheath are made of extra durable PP plastic.
The sheath fits just as well on your belt as on your buttons.

Great little knives. Really well built, hold an edge very well and an acceptable sheath. Not sure how they make them at this price (I think the steel is Japanese SK-5) but an absolute bargin. Blades do stain (as carbon) but I'm growing to appreciate a patina :). Well worth the money - I tend to get one as a top up for the free delivery.
I ordered a batch of these and the safety knives for working with Cubs and they are brilliant. They absolutely loved them. Robust, sharp & survived horrendous conditions. Excellent!
Came with perfect zero grind, razor sharp. Sheath holds the knife securely with a snap. I have many good quality scandi style knives but use this one the most.
I didn't expect much for under a fiver, but I was wrong. This is a lovely knife, feels nice in the hand, carbon steel blade comes very sharp. The sheath is robust and secure. I would recommend buying this knife.
I got this for work because it was cheap and I knew it would take a beating. It has cut countless bits of para chord, cArved loads of bits of wood, sparked my fire steel, panassed salmon, butchered rabbits and been used to open packets of food etc. it's a great blade for the money! I did manage to damage the sheath though. It has a ridge inside to hold it in place. I managed to fold over the ridge so the retention is not as good as it was. I have had to sharpen it of corse and now that I have got rid of the ribbing on the blade from when it was made it's now more than sharp enough for any job I want it to do. It's less than a fiver. Buy one!
Came through super fast! Was not expecting much from this going by the price, but wanted something for the tool box. Very good build quality, and came with a razor sharp edge. ......this has made me want to try the rest of their range.!
I can only repeat what others have said before. Amazing knife for the price of a cheap lanyard bead! Super sharp, comfortable handle in bright orange (stop me loosing it outside) and nice secure fitting sheath. And the usual Heinnie Haynes amazing delivery service.
We've bought 42 of these for our scout troop, (sorry Bear but yours is too expensive). They are the perfect knife to learn with. Good size blade and easy to sharpen. True it's not the best as holding an edge. But the scouts learn to sharpen them too ( or I have to sharpen them all). Either way it's easy to get back to a razors edge and at the price you can't go wrong. As an aside all the leaders in the troop have the HD model. Even better.
