Description

The Hultafors Craftsmans Craftsman's Knife HVK is a knife developed and adapted to suit the needs of craftsmen, manufactured in Japanese knife steel.

A unique method for attaching the sheath around a button on your work clothes means it does not loosen, but is easy to remove. The knife blade is manufactured in 2.5 mm carbon steel that has been hardened to 58-60 HRC. The cutting edge has been sharpened in several stages with a final honing on a leather strop. The handle and sheath are made of extra durable PP plastic.

The sheath fits just as well on your belt as on your buttons.

    What a bargain

Posted by Terry Thornton on 15th Aug 2013

Read review that said this was not sharp. Had to check that out and have slight cut on thumb and hairless patch on arm that makes me think it is very sharp OTB. Finish along top of blade a bit rough but for the price who cares. I have had a few items now from HH and as many have said the service is second to non.

    Not very impressed

Posted by Dr Forinor on 2nd Mar 2012

Don't get me wrong, it's a really good knife for under £6, but mine did not come razor sharp (my Mora Companion did) and even after having used the Companion a good few times, my Companion was sharper than this was OTB. The other thing I was disappointed in was this seemed to lose it's edge a lot quicker than expected. I don't think this would last a weekend, (the edge I mean, not that the blade would crumble) ,based on my first trial session. The Mora Companion on the other hand I feel would last forever. The only reason it get's 4 stars is due to it's price.

    Look out mora!

This knife is incredible! Razor sharp, ridiculously comfy and it just feels right! This is every bit as good as a Mora knife but at nearly half the price!

    Very good!

Posted by Dr Forinor on 2nd Jan 2012

This is a very good knife indeed. Came very sharp OTB although I have to say not as sharp my Mora Companion and even after having used the Mora, the Mora is still sharper than this new. But for the price, it's a steal, hence the 5 stars. Very comfortable grip on the handle, good sheath, for under £6, what more could you ask for.

    Buy a dozen

This is a great bushcraft/beater knife. Cheap as chips but will certainly perform. Great edge otb, and loving the handle colour and ergonomics. Highly recommended.

    Very Nice for the price

Posted by Graeme on 8th Oct 2011

Very nice little fixed blade for the price. Came shaving sharp and ready to go. Hi-Viz orange handle makes it easy to locate if you put it down, only downside with it was the sheath but then again at this price who can complain, great service from HH again :)
