Fallkniven F1x Elmax Fixed Blade 18

There is everything to like about the F1x in Elmax. Sharp is a word blunted by overuse in HH reviews - this is right up there with the best - would have shaved my chin out of the box, went through tissue like a scalpel - incredible for a 5mm chunk. Handle - thin, rough scales, finger guard a bit sharp - I'll wear a glove. Sheath, not pretty but works and is 100% secure. HH - can you get some G10 liners in for the X-series ? You can put me down for a set in orange or red for this one.

Hard use! This knife is for me in the goldilocks zone of being not too big and not too small. But it can be used hard when you want. Highly recommended.

Wanted one of these for a long time, ever since I first saw it on the Dutch Bushcraft knives YouTube channel(great knife channel to watch). The two guys on this channel really give the knives they test a beating and this F1x really impressed me. The convex Elmax blade was crazy sharp out of the box, comfy handle, the sheath locks the knife in tight. Great for any camping wood cutting tasks, the blade is a tank. Get one.

Wow what a great knife. So sharp out of the box and looks and like great quality. Really comfortable in the hand and didn’t give me any hot spots on my hand after some constant wood cutting and batoning for nearly an hour. Held the edge well and with a quick stropping it had the perfect again. Will be getting the F1 pro for sure, and the S1 and A1. Definitely worth getting and I recommend it.

Used it ,abused it ,stropped it back to shaving sharp. Handle scales too thin for me but if you want the scabbard to fit then live with it. Still recommend it.

Great service from HH, a great knife but I have not used it yet, will need to mod the handle in the future as it's a bit thin for me.

Outstanding knife, compact but very heavy duty and very good quality. The supplied sheath is ideal and won't need upgrading. Genuinely delighted with it.

Just received the knife and I'm simply blown away. For a production knife the fit and finish is unbelievable, I looked at it at every angle possible and I can't find a single imperfection, very impressive. HH's service brilliant as usual.

Nice weight at 5 mm thickness for a 4 inch blade,, carved and whittled with this little knife for bout 2 hours and it still shaved the hairs off my arm,, the convex grind digs in deep & also very controllable for fine shavings, the elmax steel hold an edge better than anything else i own,,, very pleased with Heinnie,s service one of the most efficient bushcraft / outdoors shop you can deal with.
