Very powerful, very sharp.
This is a fantastic blade. Lovely forward weight for serious chopping, perhaps as well as a small axe. Very fine blade (tricky to sharpen) will slice aged ivy 4 diameter with just a few chops. Will cut a green tree trunk ( diameter within reason) with ease. The finger nook in front of the handle helps with close work or just control when wrist is exhausted. Extrema metal not the nicest to sharpen but with a bit of care and practise the edge is almost as good as new. My only complaint is the handle, fine with gloves, pretty miserable after a couple of hours without, made up for to some degree with the second back hand position. Blade weight is heavy enough and just right for this parang/axe. Yet to find a better hand tool for clearing overgrown woodland when chainsaw is out of the question.
