In the same vein as the popular Ontario RAT series or the ESEE Avispa, the ESEE Zancudo is a tough little working knife that is the perfect partner to your fixed blade.
The blade is AUS stainless steel with a black coating and is razor sharp out of the box. It is held in place with a frame lock mechanism which is rock solid, allowing absolutely no blade play. The handle is an unusual grey glass filled nylon on the front side of the knife and black coated stainless on the back with a lanyard hole to accommodate your lanyard of choice.
The pocket clip is removable for tip up or down carry.

Add to BasketThis is a nice little knife, but as an Esse, I expected better from it. The blade is decent, as is the handle scale. The only Thumb stud I've ever encountered that was worse was the Hoo V2 original stud, and that was only marginally worse. It's too short and too sharp to be of any real use. This is a very average knife, and I've seen far better quality for far less money.
Thus knife being one of the most cheapest esee knifes you can buy but don't let that fool you this knife is well made and incredibly sharp out the box feels very sturdy and well put together the blade doesn't wobble or wiggle about seriously impressed
Great knife, very hard to flip open when new but it does loosen up. One thing I will say is the handle is a much darker grey than in the picture.
Brilliant little knife
The knife isn’t bad by any means and I haven’t really used it yet but initial impressions are that it doesn’t quite have the quality feeling that the esee fixed knives have. There’s better folding knives for less money in my opinion
