In the same vein as the popular Ontario RAT series or the ESEE Avispa, the ESEE Zancudo is a tough little working knife that is the perfect partner to your fixed blade.

The blade is AUS stainless steel with a stonewash finish and is razor sharp out of the box. It is held in place with a frame lock mechanism which is rock solid, allowing absolutely no blade play. The handle comes in a choice of Olive Drab or Desert Tan glass filled nylon on the front side of the knife with a lanyard hole to accommodate your lanyard of choice.

The pocket clip is removable for tip up or down carry.

    Esee

Lovely small frame lock, very happy to add this to my collection & rotation of edc gear. Small enough to carry daily but also big enough to deal with real tasks. Very happy with it, thanks heinnie

    Very nice little knife

So far can’t fault it and I’m fussy. Bought the orange one for the wee man and then got a tan one for myself

    Zancudo Fit and Finish

Quick update. Trimmed back the scales to improve access to the framelock, and filed some fine grooves into its edge to improve traction, like its done on Ontario's equivalent knife. It is now useable one-handed. I've appreciated its fine slicing ability in recent food prep and box cutting tasks. I also like the aesthetics of the blade and handle shape. And yes, I bought a RAT 2, which is the superior product, and which worked perfectly straight out of the box.

    Zancudo Fit and Finish

Super-sharp factory edge needed nothing. Very handy size and weight, and feeling robust. Sadly, single handed operation simply painful due to being very stiff to deploy, and marginal access to the framelock release. Will disassemble it to see how to save it, or just throw it into my tool bag and forget about it. Should have got a RAT 2.

    Love the desert tan

I think this knife is good, I really like the way it deploys, it has a strong detent and will fly open with a swing and snap, this blade never fails to deploy it's almost impossible to make it fail because of the detent strength. Some people say this knife is ugly, I don't think it is at all, it's not a 10/10 beauty award winner, but it isn't an ugly blade in any way. it has a vault like lock up sound with a 2 heavy clicks that pull the knife closed with quite some force, which assists in helping it deploy faster without use of assisted opening or springs, the double click is very satisfying. I would say the blade has no "play" but I wouldn't call it rock solid lock up, it has adequate lock up. The most interesting thing about this knife is the actual blade itself, this thing cuts like a laser due to its thin blade stock, flat grind profile and a stonewashed anti traction finish on the blade surface, a very nice finish that is mirror smooth and feels oiled to the touch. When slicing through things it feels ghostly, this knife was definately designed with cutting in mind first and everything else second, which is weird to say because it is a knife, but not every knife is designed as a tool first and fashion statement second, this one is, it's actually one of the best cutters I own it can compete and hold its own with blades 5 times its price, it's very slicey, buy one and you will see what I mean.

    Cant fault it.

After using my Zancudo for the best part of a year, more or less daily, i cant say a single bad thing about it. The knife fits comfortably in hand and can be deployed in an instant, the liner lock has zero movement and one handed opening and closing is as easy as it gets. It is always in my pocket or to hand at work, out fishing or on shoots, the steel sharpens easily and holds its edge for a long time. Even after cleaning fish in saltwater it shows no signs of rust, should i lose it, i will order a replacement without hesitation.
