Really Smart looking design Ideal EDC Knife that is discreet, legal and not overly cumbersome but still fully gripable. Precisie sharp blade that clicks solidly into place unlike a Swiss Army for example. Would give 5 if it had a thumb stud to flick, but i can understand why they removed it for this version. May end up buying the other version too !

Pleasantly surprised with the quality and style of this CRKT ceo model. I work in packaging and unwrapping boxes... the blade cuts nicely and the knife in general doesn’t look menacing when using. Great value for money too.

The CRKT CEO UK friendly is a great little blade. A in your pocket. A perfect pocket knife for around the office and a nice talking point. The action is smooth and the blade locks out with a crisp click. Clearly this is not a heavy duty tool and nor does it claim to be. For general purpose uses around the home and the office this knife will serve you well. Nice and sharp out the box, nice wait and balance. Just a very beautiful knife that fits perfectly in your pocket. Personally I don't see the nail nick as an issue and for the UK it certainly makes it slightly less aggressive looking, which in my opinion is a good thing.

My first CRKT made knife and very impressed with the quality for the price - like others I note the requirement to comply with UK law means non-locking which introduces a hazard for use, however, this knife is not what I would consider a “tool” but rather is far to civilised for the type of use I would put others to - the overall knife is compact, elegant and far too refined to be put to tasks my others would be, this knife has been compared to a high end fountain pen companion and the size and design suits this description very well, It is a thing of design beauty and is much slimmer and more compact than I was expecting which is a great attribute as it loses no usefulness despite this, The thumb nick for opening is again a necessary niggle to comply with non-one handed opening and again, for the ability to have a legal EDC this is acceptable even considering the annoyance these rules enforce, I think the balance of design vs compliance has been met and I believe this is still a wonderful, well priced and well designed EDC for those looking for more elegant solutions that match the professional appearance you get from designers in other fields such as Lamy and Faber Castell. 4/5 stars - if there were additional options with the G10 scales (such as wood effect) then I feel this would deserve a perfect score and overcome any lingering disappointment with the opening method - all in all very pleased with my purchase

now with even further restrictions on knife ownership i am so pleased to get a legal carry CEO as i have admired the style for some time

Great knife, slim in the pocket, deep carry and UK legal carry - however compared to the original CEO, the removal of the thumb stud was not a great idea - it is a lovely knife just a bit deflated as not as sleek as the original : (

Looked at this for a while as a legal everyday work knife but when it arrived i knew it was just too nice for that ! It just oozes style and quality so will be reserved for special occasions . Lovely smooth action very sharp and very discreet. Paul.

This is a review of a knife I very nearly bought but didn't. I really like the original CEO but I don't want a lock as I want to be able to carry it out and about legally. This version is UK legal but the nail nick really spoils it. There is no restriction on one handed opening knives in the UK so please HH can we have a UK legal version of the CEO with a thumb stud?
