CRKT CEO Heinnie Haynes® Edition 18

Good quality knife blade required further sharpening ,lovely feel and great to use but miss having a lock to save cutting fingers and no one hand open ability , so use lock knife at work wanted this in americanised spec. But still very good knife recommend it.

Arrived super quick and first impression is impressive, be the first pressie I open on Xmas just so I can use it to open the others, Thank you Mr Heinnie for making a grrat knife and UK friendly it

Long slender blade wobbles/flexes too much for confident use. Had to tighten screws in the handle within a week as they were coming apart. Pocket clip got caught on car seat belt and bent out of shape so now uncomfortable to hold and sleek lines entirely spoilt. Looks smart out of the box, but not much more than a letter opener.

I Hope that you will allow this. I am a big fan of the CRKT CEO and I am fortunate enough to own a USA sourced version of the flipper model of this knife. Whilst I fully understand the motivation to make this a UK legal knife it does seem to me to be a backward step to fit the right hand only clip rather than the later reversible clip. But if you're right handed (unlike me) then go for it!

As everyone knows it can be a complete hassle to find a knife for day to day use that isn’t going to cause both gasps of horror and legal hassle. The CRKT CEO is a pretty good way of avoiding these problems. It is compact, unassuming (nobody will think it’s anything other than a pen if you have it clipped into a pocket) and well built. I have seen complaints about the use of a thumb-knick in this version but it’s not a genuine obstacle to use. When you think about the design brief /context for the UK market then people attempting one-handed deployment of a blade isn’t a great idea in the office or other busy places because, like it or not, many people will be panicked and that just leads to a lot of bother. The blade is fantastically sharp out of the box and perfectly centred. Overall there is nothing to fault the CRKT CEO when considering its intended use/context.

It’s a decent knife overall. There’s just one thing I dislike, the blade is buried completely into the handle when closed, so unlike other knives where you can just grab a piece of blade and open it, this requires you to find the specific area where the thumb notch is. It’s not a big deal but when you’re used to ‘normal’ folders it can be a tad bit annoying. You’re also forced to use 2 hands to open it, if you can do it with 1 then you’re a legend.

Very elegant design. Great quality. Nice handle texture. Opens and closes with a satisfying click. Sharp out of the box. Can open with one hand by holding between index finger and pinky, using thumb to open, but would prefer thumb stud.

Bought this knife month ago. The knife is super stiff so I tried to adjust the tension using torx. I was unable to loosen the pivot screw. HH didn't help me and asked me to speak with CRKT directly, this is the CRKT diagnose of the issue: "female pivot screw has damaged the frame which is why it is rotating and unable to be tightened. The female pivot is in a "D" shape that matches the hole in the frame so it does not spin. If that hole shape is damaged, the whole pivot set can spin and the knife can no longer be adjusted" The material used for the HH version of the CEO frame is probably softer than the normal CEO. I own multiple CEOs and none of them has this issue, looks like the only solution will be drilling out the pivot screw which I am not looking forward to :/ I will update the review if the issue will be solved with customer service.
