1st of all great service from HH orderd late at night monday came wensdaay ,this is a real heavy duty tool ,out of the box the edge is sharp but not paper cutting sharp ,some seriuos weight to it ,the sheaf is well made but a tight fit but that will improve with some use ,the only thing i dont like about it is the hardwood handels are very smooth but im going to have some checker grips cut in to it like you find on rifle stocks ,very useful lanyard hole in the handle . great to use or just to hang on the wall ,highly recomended

Brilliant all round field knife. I have it attached to my cartridge belt & use the spine of the knife as a priest, dispatches geese swiftly & humanely. Also, ordered 4.30 Friday afternoon & was delivered 12.30 Saturday afternoon with the normal free delivery option. You will not regret either purchasing this Kukri or ordering from this company.

    Kukri & parang update

Posted by Tony Jedi of the Forest on 6th Nov 2015

A quick update of my reviews last month. I have given my Condor Parang a good workout. It is great for clearing brambles but like Chris on another review I found it bounced off thick wood when chopping. I had an old thick pine bunk bed to chop up & this proved useless. I also used my new heavy duty Condor Kukri which chopped quite well but needed more effort & chops than my Estwing axe. It did split the wood well making kindling. My late dad used to have a saying " always use the right tool for the job" & these proved not to be the right tools for chopping thick well seasoned varnished wood. The axe beat both hands down in that respect. The parang though was the right tool for clearing the brambles at the bottom of my garden. The Kukri was an adequate chopper but not as good as the axe, it is the right one tool option though for carrying in my backpack out in the woods for the odd bit of chopping firewood & also cutting & also makes a fantastic draw knife.,so the 5 star rateing stands for both products.

    Fantastic service

Posted by Tony Jedi of the forest on 5th Sep 2015

I originaly ordered mine along with a Saipien from [Company X] as it was advertised at a lower price than HH but it never arrived. (Anyone can show a low price then say sorry not available.) After 20 + phone calls chasing (always engaged) & an email they emaled back to advise due to an admin error both knives not available & would issue a refund (I'm still wating for that). I called HH on Thursday about 17:30 & spoke to Richard & told him what had happened. He was a delight to speak to & he took time to listen although it was after closing time. He put my order in post free & they arrived this morning (Saturday). What fantastic service. As for the knife it has a lovely well figured walnut handle that has a perfect finish, far superior to the one in the photo. The blade has a rough convex grind similar to Condors machete's or an axe, again unlike the photo's & without a secondary bevel. It is abount 7mm thick. It is very sharp, though a bit rough looking. As I have a good set of oilstones I will add a secondary bevel as I will not just be using mine for chopping wood but as a general bushcraft tool. Much better value than the Chis Caine or Lofty Wiseman tools. The sheath is excellent, very well made thick matt black leather with Condors new logo. All in all a very good purchase. Highly recomended.

    WOW

Posted by anon on 5th Aug 2015

Wow. What an incredible tool. I simply fail to understand any negative comments about condor's fit and finish- in this aspect, this tool is better than any I have ever owned, and equal to some I have seen twice its price. I have yet to test it but it seems incredible quality, well made and wonderfully designed. I cannot recommend it enough. 10/10

    A Non BS Work Tool

Posted by Anthony on 14th Jul 2014

I bought this from HH as I had been looking for an "authentic" Kukri but made with better quality of material seen in the west, And for the price this really is a great knife. The only issue I have is that in the picture it is shown with a flat grind edge, while the actual knife came out of the box with a rather crude convex grind, but this is not a show piece after all, but a practical tool, and in that respect this will not let you down, It comes with a solidly made leather sheath (why leather with a high carbon blade?) Outside of the aesthetic I fail to understand why anyone would choose this, great if you want this sitting on a shelf somewhere, but in the field once wet, is a pain in the arse. But again you easily get value for money. Would I recommend this knife? Yes absolutely it's a get blade. The only reason I did not give it the full five stars was due to the grind. But this knife has no pretence at integrity. What you see is what you get; it will not let you down. Has per the norm, HH customer service was outstanding
