Utterly magnificent!
I received my dagger today after wanting one for decades. My wife finally granted permission, possibly because I broke my back this year and I’m mostly housebound these days? I have always loved the perfect shape for its original purpose, and Böker happens to be one of my favourite Sölingen makers. From unboxing it to finally holding it in my hand, the high quality screams at you, it is literally a breathtaking experience. A word of advice, please do not sheath it and if you do, make sure you sheath it the right way round! The 1930s and 1940s “originals” with the political associations, scratched the blade and I wouldn’t take the chance of marking such a perfect blade. Please read the care leaflet inside the box. If you do buy one and you appreciate quality, craftsmanship and the best materials, you will not be disappointed!
