Blade Blank Knife Kit 18

A fun and cheap project for enthusiasts who are competent with basic hand tools. OK, the instructions are a little vague and some of the components weren't perfect, but at this low price you can still end up with an attractive knife, especially if you experiment with handle materials, polishing, etc.

Bought as an xmas present for my dad, he had a very fun few hours putting it together and making it perfect! I was even a little jealous myself seeing the final product so I may have to pick one up myself to do. As an aside, the usual excellent Heinnie service, when everything else pre-xmas was taking an age to dispatch and deliver Heinnie had this to me in a little over one day on the standard delivery option. Great product, great service!

Great service as usual from HH. I’ve recommended this kit to every knife lover I know. It is amazing value, reasonably straight forward to do, use's decent materials for the price and you create a usable knife that you can tell people YOU made. Get one for yourself or as a gift for a knife loving relative or friend. You won’t regret it.

I have done two of these now and theyre great. I had never built a knofe before so these were a nice intro to how they go together. the scales aren't amaxzng but i made some of my own - which is half the fun anyways! ID recommend these if you're looking for a little project to keep you busy for an hour or two OR if youre curious abut knife making for the price i really cant fault this kit at all and HH shipping is always super quick! thanks

Well received gift for a mate’s 30th birthday. My only gripe is that Hh don’t attach a message or anything to let the recipient know who its come from. Poor bloke spent a week thinking that someone had sent him this as a threat! That apart, its a great product, HH are great vendors to deal with and these kits are great little time killers until the world goes back to normal.

An easy project to complete. It took about 1.5 hours including a half hour wasted trying to fathom the useless instructions whiich have not been updated to allow for Specs. Changes. You'll end up with a decent copy of a well-known French design - not a legal UK edc though.

i have made these before but only recently seen that HH are selling them. they fit together very well. i tend to use pen blanks cut to size instead of the scales supplied as it offers more variety i.e. burl woods. although the scales supplied are fine if you don't want to cut your own. the decorative file work on the back spine is a nice touch too. great price & quick delivery as usual. highly recommended.

I received 3 of these knives and they all have imperfections in the welding area. Because it hasn't been welded properly you get gaps between the bolster and the backbone which is almost impossible to remove without taking off 2 mm of steel. It will leave you with a knife that is unfinished when it comes to detail, unless you can weld those seams shut. Won't buy them again.
