    Very Impressed

Posted by Jack Black on 8th Oct 2017

I have a range of 5.11 pants, and like them all, but I am very impressed with these, which I bought in black. They're even better than I expected, and are actually quite smart, certainly when new. With such a good range of colours, I'll definitely be buying more. The only addition I'd like to see is pockets on the rear yoke, as on some of the other 5.11 models. Excellent pair of classic combats, with well thought out technical features, and construction is first-rate.

    Great function, working casual style

Posted by Lorenzo on 6th Jan 2017

I bought one pair of these a couple of years ago and within a months i went back and bought four more pairs. Two of these went straight to the work-clothes shelf, one pair is for gardening and hiking, the remaining two are in my casual everyday wear. Comfort, fu crion and since they are less baggy than most regular cargos they fit right into casual urban fashion especially wearing long tops and jackets that hide the thigh pockets. I've worn these while painting, refunishing, bushwhacking, travelling for days, hiking/outdoorsing, informal barbeques or dinner and a pint with friends. With a pair of nice sneakers and a rugged fashionable shirt these could pass for meeting your inlaws even. Not one person has registered their "tactical nature" and some have complimented them. They still look great everytime they come out of the tumbler and the dwr needs occasional reactivation but almost no sign of wear and tear after two years of cycling through them for various tasks. Pocket space is good, i avoid overloading the thigh-pockets for everyday use to minimize printing and lumping but the inner compartments are a perfect fit for a midsized phone or wallet, the velcro closing is strong enough even after a few years of daily use and no seams are ripping yet. Those front thigh pockets are decent if you have slim tools or small pieces of kit but avoid anything poky, sitting with a folder tucked in there aint nice. Seriously, it's slim-ish fitted cargos that dont fade too quick, look good and feel comfy like wearing trackies or some fancy dress pants. Whats not to like?

    Outstanding

Picked these up for a last minute deployment addition, couldnt have been easier to organise for collection and staff as helpful as ever. Trousers are a great comfortable fit and the pockets the perfect size for multitools or magazines, lightweight and robust these will see you in good stead for rough terrain and use. Couldn't ask for more form 5;11 or heinnie.

    Excellent bit of kit.

Not a lot else to say really. Well made, won't risk buying any other trousers now, these are perfect. Do seem to come up on the large side and also have elastic in the waist so no need to order larger than you would normally.

So good I bought a second pair

I bought a pair of these for my son three years ago. I have just bought him another pair. Not because he wore them out but because he grew out of them. The trousers are still going strong.

    unbeatable value

Posted by Alex on 20th Apr 2015

Like Jim, I also like TAD and CP trousers (much prefer CP!) but for general use I find them a little too baggy or "full on", especially the CPs. I bought these as a slimmer fitting option for general duties and they fill that role perfectly. the range of mobility that these allow, with a slimmer line, far exceed that of the TAD trousers and don't look as obviously military as CP trousers. The fabric seems quite thin and I'm not sure how long they will last, but for the price this is in no way a complaint, the weight of the fabric makes these very comfy. I was initially put off by the elastic in the waist as elastic tends to perish quite quickly, but now I think the trousers will probably be ready for retirement anyway by the time that happens. even if it does go bad though, it looks easy enough to either replace the elastic or sew the two halves of the waistband together rigid. Basically these are my new favourite (functional) trousers, I have since bought another pair and will most likely buy more. not sure what they'll be like in the hot, but I sweat buckets anyway so not holding out much hope! The price of these makes them pretty much unbeatable. Just as a helpful reference, my true waist size (with a tape measure) is 34" and the size 30 fits me perfectly with no stretch on the elastic.

    Outstanding Product

Bought these in grey as a casual wear pant, I like lots of pockets and hate jeans for this very reason. The cut and feel of these is second to none and very comfortable, very soft and silent when walking. The phone pocket is a little tight for some phones but ideal for mine and the compartments in the thigh pockets are brilliant. I'd highly recommend these pants to anyone and feel the quality makes them excellent value and I intend to order another two pairs of these very soon. Overall another great product from 5.11

    Excellent Quality

Posted by SImon on 5th Jan 2015

I bought 3 pairs of these a couple months ago from Heinnies after retiring some army surplus store BDU style cargo pants. I work in the Desert, often in high temperatures, and these were for general wear and travel. Very suprised by these, I wasn't expecting them to perform as well as they did, not for any particular reason, i just didn't think anything would perform this well. They were worn under coveralls during hard physical work in 40+ degree heat and, this being about the best thing i think you can say about garments, I did not notice them. That is to say not once did they ride up, chaffe, become overly hot, sweaty etc etc. The freedom of movement they provided was amazing, they nearly stretch like tracksuit bottoms. They survived multiple washes in industrial washers/driers without noticeable fading or shrinking. They auto adjust waist is a great feature, never too tight, never too loose. I also travel in these and the compartmentalised pockets were great for keeping everything secure, comfortable and easily accesible, i.e. passport, tickets, wallet, 2 x phones, I.D. cards etc while flying and in airports. one thing i'll say is they keep everything flat to your leg, you don't get cargo pant pocket bulge where everything in your pocket sags down to the bottom in a tangled mess. plus the fit of these actually makes them respectable looking day to day wear. I'm thinking of ordering a few more pairs for holidays and home. On that note, I wore these in february in scotlnd for a week or so before leaqving, and they seem as capable in the cold as in he heat.
