Initially I was a little underwhelmed by this flash light. Although it is undeniable that the machining on it is flawless it was, at first glance, a little gimicky rather than practical. Almost too many configurations of LED/Main/Strobe etc. Having played with it and used it for a couple of days, and got used to the various modes, it has become an EDC or perhaps I should say an ENC (Every Night Carry). The main beam and strobe, whilst not being the most powerful on the market, are more than enough to use as a defensive aid. Getting the full strobe effect in the face, in the dark, would slow anyone down. Don't try it on your friends. The LED light configurations would also work well well in a rescue situation (Flashing), camping as a tent light, map reading lights etc. The moon setting is more than enough to navigate in the dark without having to illuminate your surroundings like a football stadium and losing any night vision. It's small enough to fit any pocket so you wouldn't dump it for its bulk and the pocket clip works well. If I was going to be ultra picky I would have fitted a lanyard hole on the butt end somewhere. Hanging the lanyard from the pocket clip seems like a bad afterthought. I like it and I will be buying my wife and kids one each. Get One.
