Description

Wuben have done it again. Building on the successes of 2025, Wuben continue to bring jam-packed pocket torches to the market that are feature-rich and incredibly well priced. This E8 is the latest in the collection and brings some unique innovations including snap on customisable panels.

The E8 is first and foremost a powerful pocket torch - capable of putting out 1300 lumens at its max and a 36 hour runtime when running 30 lumens. At just 90g you'll barely know it's there - and the IP68 waterproof (to 2m) aluminium body makes it tough enough to stand the rigours of daily use.

With a UV mode, beacon mode and 109m beam distance - there's little it can't do.

The side light provide 50 lumens and the colours can be mix and matched using snap-magnetic panels of varying colours. There's also space to fit 6mm tritium vials for always-on illumination

Quickly turn this into a keychain flashlight with the additonal D-ring that fits to the base in seconds.

    Bright useful torch with limitations

Posted by Ian Roberts on 7th Mar 2026

Been using this torch for a month now. Nice and bright. UV is very bright compared to other ones I own. The pocket clip screws keep coming loose. Unless you have a T5 torq bit you stand no chance of tightening them. The clip on coloured diffusers prefer to stick to anything else metallic rather than the torch. I have now lost one. The replacements are out of stock. The power button is wobbly and easily turned on by accident. The optional screw in lanyard hoop makes this worse. Changing modes is fiddly. Otherwise a good torch. Glad I didn’t buy the titanium version….

Lovely powerful small flashlight. Appalling that it doesn’t come with a lanyard attachment even though the lanyard is supplied and you have to purchase separately. Other colour filters eg red is then out of stock and take 8 days to come from China. So you end up with a great flashlight whose usefulness is compromised.

    Wuben E8 Flashlight

Thought this would be a nice flashlight to take with me when walking the dog in the dark and the extra functions might come in handy. The build quality seems good and size is about right for a pocket carry. However the pocket clip is ridiculously tight and often ends up with the magnetic panels coming off when trying to remove it from your pocket. The single multifunction switch seemed good quality but switching between modes by 'tapping' the switch is fiddly and hit and miss. You have to tap the switch 4 times to change modes and it doesn't always happen if you don't tap it correctly. Wuben include a lanyard with the torch, but to use it properly you have to pay an extra £5.95 to purchase a screw in d-ring which screws into the switch on the end! Not overly impressed when the torch is £49.95.

    WUBEN E9 MODULAR FLASHLIGHT

Posted by Dr Mike on 10th Feb 2026

This is a very clever concept and a usefully bright pocket torch, lantern, warning beacon and U/V light. There are a few things that could be improved though. Firstly; in or clipped to a pocket it is too easy to turn on inadvertently and if on full when switched off will flatten the battery quite quickly (a dead torch lights up nothing). So perhaps a second rotating on/off click switch in the cap would be better leaving mode changes to the button. Secondly; menu/mode/intensity changing is a bit random, the button would benefit from more haptic feedback. It’s certainly a keeper but not in my jeans pocket!
