Certainly a good and robust tool for a reasonable price. The head is small but large enough for what it should be intended to do. Can be easily stored in a small rucksack. The plastic haft has a very aggressive grip which hurts the fingees unless you have gloves on. The blade comes quite sharp but will need regular touching up.

I admit I bought this partly because of the name and the traditional style combined with state of the art materials and thoroughly modern look. To me it's an understated work of design art really. But what I really bought it for is throwing and after owning it for 2 days I got it dialed in at 40 feet so here are a few good and bad points as a thrower. First the grip texture is very aggressive, almost sharp, so I had to wrap tape around the bottom few inches. Second from the photos I somehow thought the head was permanently secured with steel pins but it turns out they are T8 torx barrel bolts with screws on one side only. Soft as **** and I stripped the threads. I mean I know how not to strip threads but it still happened so now there is like quarter of a millimeter of play on the head. The weird thing is I'm not at all bothered, the polymer handle is bombproof and a tiny bit of play won't hurt it until I get around to coming up with my own fix. The truth is for £56 quid you can't have it all and generally I find the quality of Chinese T8 threads really really dodgy so I don't blame the tool overall for that. Overall this hawk is still totally worth it, 100% and I might buy another to throw as a pair.
