This is a very unique style. The designer Jerry Van Cook is a well-known name in the world of knives. Writer and training expert with 35 plus years of training, including a 7th Degree Black Belt in Bei-Koku Aibujutsu. This design is very well thought out and executed by a man that spent many years in Law Enforcement and the majority of it undercover. Jerry is a recognized author, "Going Undercover" is only one of some 40 books written by him.

Superb value. Very sharp out of the bag, both upper and lower blade. Not a bushcraft knife,but that should be obvious from HH description. Good looking and comfortable handle.
When I first saw this knife I liked the blade shape I didn't know the top edge was sharpened a bonus for me the length of the blade is nice the handle is almost perfect I've got big hands is razor sharp out of the box really pleased with this knife and thanksHH. Glad I bought it.
I am told that "Bei-Koko Aibujutsu", is a type of Karate. But I am not 100% sure of that. The designer of this model, Jerry VanCook, seems to have lots of experience, and it shows when you hold the "Loner" in your hand. This is one of the best designed, compact fixed-blades, I have ever owned. I would say it's primary grip position is the reverse-grip. But it is also very good in the hammer-grip. And even though it has a compact handle, scale - 4+1x8th" long, it works very well in the sabre-grip, with the butt nesting in the palm of the hand, perfectly. The blade geometry is supreme, the tip is the reinforced diamond shape, favoured by Allen Elishewitz. Stock - 4.85mm. Blade - 4.5" (just over). Handle scale - 4+1x8th" long. Extended tang - 3x8ths". Balance point - .5" behind the first scale bolt. All specs approx. I note that it has sharpening choils, on both edges. Such attention to detail. The kydex scabbard offers a deep, firm, click-fit. It has Tops steel rotating clip. Thanks to HH for a great price. I am very pleased with my purchase.
