The Titaner Bolt Pen is designed for people who desire a stunning pen that is different from the rest. Smartly engineered to maintain its simplicity, the Bolt Pen comes packed with great features such as a unique bolt mechanism, an adjustable portion to accommodate your preferred refill, a tungsten glass breaker, a mini-pin to remove SIM cards or to press reset buttons. O-ring grips are provided for superior comfort whilst writing.

Traditional bolt action pens rely on a single-point bolt clasp in the form on a screw. After repeated use, the button can gradually unthread and become loose as time passes, prompting the user to tighten the fitting from time to time. The idea to have a one-handed use bolt pen that avoids this issue was born.

Made from 100% Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V), this is one robust pen, made to last. A pen for life? The smooth texture and balanced weight gives you a perfect writing experience.

Within the body of the pen, unscrew the head within to reveal a mini-pin. This small, yet handy addition can be used for a range of purposes, including removing SIM cards from mobile devices or simply pressing hard to reach reset buttons. Once you're done, simply screw it back in to the chassis. The entire chassis being made from GR5 Titanium makes the Titaner Bolt pen rustproof. Load it with a Fisher space pen refill and you can even write under water!

The pen offers a simple innovative, yet effortless mechanism to truly set it apart from the other bolt pens available in market today. Unlike other bolt pens, the Titaner bolt is welded in place.

Titaner aimed to develop a novel refill chamber that would not disrupt the pens' premium aesthetics. To ensure the refills could be adjusted anywhere, any time, they designed an adjustable mechanism which can be fully controlled using the pen clip itself, easily detached by unscrewing the tungsten glass breaker end. No need to carry a screwdriver!

It is not easy to demonstrate just how well balanced this pen is. Titaner found many titanium pens to have unbalanced weight distribution. They carefully managed the internal and external engineering of the Titaner Bolt to give a beautifully balanced pen that comes to life in your hands.

Takes a Fisher Refill which is available separately.

    Titaner Bolt Pen

Posted by Charley on 13th Jan 2021

I'd never really considered a pen to be more than just a pen, maybe a tool for winding the spool of a cassette tape (remember them?) Maybe a blowpipe as a kid, otherwise a pen is just that. Wrong! The Titaner Bolt pen is also a window breaker (I've not tried it yet) and a holder for a reset spike. It's beautifully made and well presented. With no cap to lose it should be a long term friend. You even have options of the type of refill you can put in it as the clid end carries an internal adjustable threaded bolt. Sounds great doesn't it? Only the spring loaded cap only locks 'up' to reveal the nib, so you can write. If you put this in your pocket, there is a risk of the cap riding up to reveal the nib and depending on your choice of refill, ink stains on your shirt, trousers, clothes. I would have liked to see it lock when covering the nib too. As for the adjustable threaded barrel, great idea, due to the nib end design there are limits to what you can put in. Just so you are aware, Pilot G2 refill will not it for example. The written 'bumf' about this pen suggests you don't need a screwdriver to adjust the threaded adjustment. Nice touch, except by the time you have fiddled the clip off the pen, realised that due to the shape of the slot in the adjustable threaded part and the shaped end of the clip, you're better off with a screwdriver and you still need to fiddle the clip back on to the pen, aligned correctly for a proper fit. Now I've fitted my preferred refill, it came with nothing so at least the price paid is for the pen, a snazzy box and fake leather cover and nothing else. To access the 'reset' pin I have to disassemble the pen, screwing out the threaded barrel to get at the pin. Nice design idea, not really thought through enough. Nice pen because I put a quality refill in. A bit top heavy in the hand but that I can get used to. We will see what airport security says about it when I fly next. I travel a lot and find myself all to often being ferried about in vehicles not equipped to my spec. driven by people of varying abilities. So the pen was just another step towards better preparation and I didn't want a pen I'd risk losing the cap from or the clip would come off etc. All in all, nicely made, some good ideas but need further refinement to be a top pen.If this all sounds really pedantic, look at the price and ask yourself "How many compromises are you prepared to put up with at that price?"
