Designed by Jonathan Styles, the Tenable Parr is a compact, capable fixed blade built for everyday carry. Named after the agile juvenile stage of a salmon, it embodies precision, strength, and readiness in a streamlined form. This small, functional EDC knife features a reverse tanto blade with a straight cutting edge, making it well suited to utility tasks as well as game processing. Clean, practical, and efficient, it is designed to perform without excess.
Jonathan Styles is a knife designer and maker from Newfoundland, Canada. A lifelong outdoorsman, he has spent years hunting, fishing, hiking, and exploring, drawing constant inspiration from nature. Art has always been central to his life, with experience in design, painting, woodworking, and carving. Guided by a philosophy of “functional art,” knife design and making came naturally, blending creativity with real-world utility.
The Parr features durable Micarta handle scales that offer excellent strength, long-lasting durability, and a secure, comfortable grip. Its ergonomic, contoured handle is designed for fatigue-free use, while strategic spine jimping enhances control and precision. Each knife includes a precision-molded Kydex sheath for secure, discreet belt or pack carry. With a 8.0cm (3.12") blade in 14C28N steel, the Parr delivers a strong balance of edge retention and corrosion resistance in a highly portable package, offering dependable performance and outstanding value for EDC and outdoor use.
