The Retreev is everything it is advertised as being. I ordered it along with a spare set of aluminum spikes (to avoid postage) and even with free standard postage it arrived the next day, before mid day. The only minor issue is that from the images I mistakenly believed that it carried both sets of spikes inside at the same time (steel and aluminum) but it actually only has room for one set stored. However, the useful small plastic capsule that the aluminum spikes came in, can be easily carried elsewhere. Overall I am very happy with my purchase, and the prompt delivery. 5 stars if they bring out a version storing two sets of spikes :).

An excellent piece of kit. Well made good finish and extremely useful. The magnet is adequately powered without being overly strong. The additional aluminum spikes are a well thought out add on that increases the range of uses for the "Retreev". The attachment hole can easily take the cord shown or a quickly threaded type III paracord that can be knotted and used in a hurry.

One of three items ordered 9pm Sunday, arrived Tuesday 10am. usual brilliant service from HH. This was slightly smaller than I had imagined it, but still able to pick up the DD Hammock Action Pack I ordered at the same time, with the Boker Res Q knife inside it, from 20 feet down. The magnet held up a 13mm extra long wrench easily enough, so it should cope with most everyday tasks.

This gadget immediately turned a smile on my face. You can position it between a McGyver tool and a sonic screwdriver. It comes with three additional pins and three are mounted inside the tool itself. Detach them and store them easily if you often pass security gates at airports. A must-have...I would give it even more stars if it would have some luminous coating or strip on it, so you can use it even better in the dark. I already regret I did not order some more. The entire family claims this tool as an 'essential'.
