Love knife, I had one a my edc first 6 years and used it every day but lost it a week ago so ordered a replacement straight away. this one came even sharper than the last. Great knife.
Sharpen well and is uk legal. With hindsight Iwould have purchased the plastic handle knife, half the price
The wood was drilled unevenly so the sides do not line up. You couldn't make up my disappointment when I took it out & actually looked over the wooden handle. Poorly finished & had damaged gouge out of one scales side. I knew it would need sanding because of others comments but to be sub-quality from the get go is not amusing. Sent back to heinnie for replacement...
Charm of this knife if off the scale. Work on it a bit, by sanding the scales and re oiling them, sharpen the blade up more, and it's a.gorgeous knife you have enjoyed working on with little worry of making it worse. It's amazing how you can be impressed by such a basic tool, but I have been blown away by this knife due to its historic design values, lovely blade steel, gorgeous design, and perfect size for UK EDC.
Got mine to shaving sharp, blued the blade with blow torch and sanded the handle to get rid of shine, here's a photo. Only neg is the screws arnt flush, but solid, safe to use knife. *
