The Svord Peasant Micro Copper features a two-tone black and matte finish carbon steel drop point blade with extended tang allowing the user to access the blade very easily. The tang also doubles as a "lock". The thumb presses down on the tang and prevents the blade from closing during use. As there is no locking mechanism, however, the knife can be classed as UK friendly carry.

There is a key ring at the end of the tang allowing key carry and it is supplied with a brown leather pouch.

    Hey Peasant!

Posted by Felly Da! on 9th Apr 2021

I do like a smaller knife and was looking forward to addiing/trying this out .... A bit of twig/stick whittling is my bag. This micro has a blade about the same length of an Opinel no. 4 and a Spyderco Grasshopper. (Both of those knifes are a thinner blade Stock and a good bit sliiceier imo.) This is okay for a bit of roughing out/bark stripping etc My Peasant came soaked in preserve and pretty blunt - not a great start with me as I like a knife i can put to work right away! Getting a reasonable edge on it was actually not too bad to do and i'm a rookie. The finish on it is like a Sheffield beater, if your one to scrutinise you may skip this knife. But these things are the things that may also bring some joy - you can see the hand in the maker. The rivets have burr, the scales are not perfect - they're pretty good , but not perfect. The brass initially is a touch bling and it will be interesting to see it age. Ergonomically it has a thin handle so obviously best use here is to do a thing here and do a thing there. Prolonged use equals discomfort. This is my first friction folder- i found i soon forgot about this, got used to it pretty quickly. No strong thoughts and perfectly functional imo. What I like ... It's something a touch diffferent. It's come from New Zeleand. Based on an old pattern. Love the almost homemade presentation of the leaflet. I like the rustic handmade vibe of the knife. The pouch is a nice touch. If you enjoy experiencing different knives in a rotation or like small knives this is a worthy add, I don't think this would/should be anybody's one and only knife - of course if your reading this is very likely not! The price point while not ridiculous is at a point where we are not spoilt for choice and does need to be part of our consideration. A knife to try if your on that trad Opinel, Douk Douk, Mercartor type journey. If your not on that journey and just wanting a small knife I wouldn't recommend this. In performance/versatility there are waaaaay better - what that is will depend on your personal taste. I will happily use my Peasant micro occasionaly and I still want to add a Small to my collection soon. All things considered In what I enjoy the Micro hits a ... 6/10 Thank you!

    Very Simple

    Posted by A.M. on 31st Mar 2018

Agreed with Harry T, it's supposed to be somewhat loose so you can pinch the blade between the handle to help keep it from closing. Came nice and sharp, shaved hair no problem at all. Could be a little cheaper, but then again it does come with a nice little leather pouch, and I can't say I've seen any other knife with this much copper. Pouch needed a bit of work to get it flexible and soft, but still lovely. Fits the knife well, and fits perfectly in the small pocket in my jeans. Tang sticks out a couple of centimeters or so, perfect to grab and get it back out. HH great service again, thank you.

Posted by Harry T on 3rd Nov 2017

Dont be put off by review they are perfectly made its a friction folder it needs friction, no spacer as it need the contact between scales and blade keeps it open its how they have been made for years, polish it up and looks stunning, lovely UK EDC get one

    nice blade poor handle

Posted by colin on 28th Oct 2017

The blade is good quality but the handle leaves a lot to be desired. There is no spacer between the scales at the butt end of the handle. Consequently the handles spring/flex in and out. It has left me in two minds about returning the knife.
