I use this on kitchen knives and an old buck lock knife, cleans up a treat. Won't last for ever as quite crumbly but it works and at that price I can replace.
I regularly sharpen/hone pocket and kitchen knives with a Lansky Turn Box system. These blocks are perfect for removing metal residue that accrues on the rods. I’d previously been using kitchen towel with white spirit. That’s not quite as effective and is smellier and messier than these blocks which leave just a little powder to ckear away after use. It looks like they’ll last some time, judging by how little of the block was consumed cleaning two rods. The only slight downside is the cost for such a simple, modestly-sized item. However, I can live with that for the block’s convenience and effectiveness.
Well packaged, does the job
Rust never sleeps, but this helps a *lot*! I like to refurbish old axes, billhooks and the like, and this is essential for finishing off. I'd be happy to pay twice the money.
Cleans the ceramic rods brilliantly with a quick rub, superb!
Perfect for cleaning the ceramic rods on the Lansky Turn Box 4 Rod sharpening system. It's a breeze to wipe away the marks and bring them back to brilliant white again.
Does what it says. Easily cleaned the ceramic rods and brought back a shine to an old carbon steel blade. It's only 8x2.5x1.5cm. The picture makes to look aggressively abrasive but it's not. It's an impregnated pliable rubber block, hence Eraser but it's only mildly abrasive and feels suede-like. Like any eraser it leaves a little rubber dust which is easily wiped off. Worth the money for the improvement it brings.
