StatGear T3 Tactical Rescue Tool

This is another beautiful knife to add to the collection.

I bougth this as an EDC for emergencies. The knife is well made, linerlock took me some getting used to though. The tourch is fair, kife & belt blades excellent. WIndow smasher seems ok. The handle is a comfortable rubberised metal giving a weighty feel, but with no chance of slipping. Comes with a cheap case. I'd buy this again.

I have been looking for a folding/locking knife with some extras for some time and on a number of UK and International sites. I consider my self lucky to have chanced upon this piece of kit. The equivalent on this, and many other sites is significantly more expensive, so it represents great value for money, always a good start. A 440c drop point half-serrated (bone saw) main blade, with really solid lock. An equally sharp gut-hook/ripper that will make short work removing clothing from the injured, or free you from belts/harnesses with a single slice. Add to this a powerful automatic breacher/breaker and a surprisingly powerful torch and you have a great package. A solid, chunky, non-slip grip makes for easy control and pressure application. And all in anti-reflective black, for those of a tactical disposition. Presented in a great quality hardened webbing pouch with belt and molle loops...or yes all for £43. Fantastic value. Thank you Heinnie Haynes and to StatGear, this is a terrific addition to my grab-bag.

This is a great knife for the price. Razor sharp out of the box with a good substantial feel to it. The handle is large enough for a large hand, allows a good grip with grooving to help grip when wet. The handle isn't uncomfortable but I wouldn't want to use it ungloved for a prolonged period.. Easily opened one-handed; blade and belt cutter and both are liner locked securely. There is also a light feature which gives minimal light but is more designed to use in a medical situation rather than as an outside light source. Finally, there is the window punch with a spring load. I haven't tested this but watched a video where it was demonstrated and shown to work nicely. Overall, I think it would be an excellent rescue tool for light use. However, I only gave it 4 stars because the tip of the blade has been shown to be too weak for prying and the window punch can become displaced if the knife takes a solid impact. I would still recommend it highly as a budget knife and it is 1000s of times better than the £9.99 tactical knives you find on Amazon or other retailers.

This is a well thought out emergency tool and its no surprise that its designed by someone in the business. The part that makes it unique is the spring loaded glass punch which works well. The cutting parts are competent without being exceptional. It's perfect for professional use and handily priced with a very nice sheath. My only reservation is the very pointy blade, in an emergency these have a nasty tendency to cause injuries for both the patient and the responder.
