    Great EDC!

Posted by Joel on 14th Apr 2024

I’ve been a long-time fan of the UKPK and wanted to give the Urban a go. Love the grippy G10 and the S90V blade. Added a LynchNW clip and now it’s a perfect little EDC knife for me!

Great in hand but almost blunt edge.

Very happy with the feel of this urban especially for its size but this is the worse edge I have received on a new knife which I don’t think is acceptable at this price point.

    Spyderco Urban Heinnie Edition

Posted by Ian Hardbattle on 6th Mar 2024

Great little knife; the fit and finish are spot on. The S90V steel takes and holds a wicked edge and the G10 scales are comfortable and well made. I took the pocket clip off as I don’t use it and it makes it slightly less bulky in my pocket. I find it kind of reassuring to just hold, rather like a fidget spinner, or worry bead. Anyone looking for a non threatening every day carry knife should give this gem some consideration.

    Spyderco Urban HH

How much? Really?..... As soon as you hold this knife it makes total sense. Light and strong. Great action. Beautiful to look at. Safe. Great fiddle factor. It's a lovely lottle thing! What more could you want from a pocket knife?

    Spyderco HH Urban

Fantastic U.K. legal pocket knife, perfect to take camping too. I found the edge retention great, needed some use to make it loosen up so that you can open easily with thumb, but this happened after a few days regular use and a bit of oil

    Manufacturing defect

Posted by Oliver on 2nd Aug 2023

The mechanism of the blade had a manufacturing defect, a protrusion of metal making the mechanism feel like it’s full of sand. Even after sanding down it’s still a poor opening and the blade was fairly blunt out of the box. Not what I came to expect from reviews of spyderco knives. Especially at this price.

Lovely size for UK EDC. Great blade steel for price.

Posted by Scott on 25th Feb 2023

Very handy, non threatening little knife with blade from a top tier steel. Fit and finish are good, just not in love with the colour of the scales. The colour is just not right for a high end knife. It makes it look cheap. Black would have actually been better.

Spyderco Urban Heinnie Edition G10 S90V

Posted by Andy S. on 26th Jan 2023

The knife appeared on my radar when HH offered 10 percent discount at Christmas last year. After having read most of the reviews and also the chat at the Spyderco forum I hesitaded a little bit but finally pulled the trigger… I haven’t regret! The guys at HH had promised me to check for good F&F and they had done so. After 2 weeks delay at German customs it finally arrived last Wednesday. First inspection results: blade razor sharp (my first S90V!) and almost dead center, the backspring (very stiff resp. safe, feels like a backlock) nearly overall flush with the scales, which are in fact on the rough side (very „grippy“), but well finished and showing this wonderful burgundy colour. Then I decided to change the clip to the short version (Dragonfly clip) because in my opinion it fits better and also has no side-to-side play. Doing this I noticed that both the pivot screw and the clip screw were loose and had to be fixed with blue Loctite. I smoothed the scales a little bit using a Scotchbritt. The same I did with the edges of the blade’s back and the hole using a steel tool. Perhaps I will do more work on the scales in future, but for the moment I’m fine with it. In summary I can really recommend this HH special for anybody who is a Spyderco collector (as I am). It seems that the manufacturing quality has become better and better in the timegoing. Ask the HH guys to check for good F&F…they will do so. The support service at HH was perfect, thanks a lot and again kind regards! Now I will carry my Heinnie red knife with pride!
