Spyderco Rescue 3 Black
I ordered this after buying a cheap fixed blade Rescue knife as part of my Sea Kayaking safety kit. I found that I could deploy a folding knife faster and with either right or left hand than I could the fixed blade knife as the release button on the sheath was awkward to use with either hand, mounted on the left of my PFD I could access it with my right hand but not easily with my left and vice versa. I've owned a Spyderco Resilience for about 5 years and have been very happy with it so, in particular how easy it is to open with one hand and also how the belt clip can be fitted top/bottom and left/right. For those reasons my 1st choice for a folding rescue knife was Spyerco. The Rescue 3 fitted the bill with regard to blade size. The blade and grip length is pretty much perfect for me, the blade cuts 14mm double braid with ease so I'm very happy with it. Yes it's expensive but when an item performs as expected the cost is bearable. The Service from Heinnie Hayes was excellent, purchasing was straightforward and it was despatched very quickly. 10/10 for the Spyderco Rescue 3 and Heinnie Hayes
