Description

The Spyderco Para Military 2 G10 Camo. This knife really is top notch! The blade is forged from CPM-S30V stainless steel (either in Satin or with a black coating) offering an almost perfect balance of edge retention, hardness and corrosion resistance. The leaf shaped blade with a full flat grind makes this knife ideal for a huge number of cutting tasks. In order to maximise usability, the shape of the blade allows for a perfectly placed thumb ramp and finger choil, both complete with gimping for enhanced grip, especially useful when carrying out high precision cutting tasks.

In order to secure the blade in its open position Spyderco have included their brilliant compression-lock locking system which helps give you peace of mind when using this knife, even for the toughest of tasks!

Even the handle on this knife is fantastic. The G10 scales offer a really nice combination of grip and texture, with the camo pattern adding an extra aesthetic edge to an already exceptional knife. The handle also boasts a removable and multi-positional, low-riding pocket clip allowing for tip-up or tip down carry on either the left or right hand side.

Spyderco have really pulled it out the bag...yet again.

    Para-tastic

Posted by Doch on 18th Sep 2015

I got my Para for EDC+ tasks (Fishing, field / bush craft etc.) and all I can say is wow. I was torn between the Para 2 and the Manix 2 but I'm sure I made the right decision. Compression lock is solid and blade shape and sharpness are great too. In hand I initially thought the G10 felt a little cheap but once I used it, it all fell into place beautifully. Ergo's are world class (As with all Spyderco's) and extended cutting times are not a problem.(No hot spots in hand). It is a tad on the expensive side but you certainly get what you pay for. It's a little on the large side for UK EDC but perfect for them jobs that require a little more oomph. If your budget can stretch to it, go for it, you won't be disappointed.

    A long overdue addition

Posted by PT on 11th May 2015

You know, I've purchased a number of knives for my collection that when I've received them I been a little disappointed and considered them "overhyped". Not being a big Spyderco fan I have resisted the temptation to buy a Paramilitary for a couple of years now. But I finally took the plunge last week. WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?? This is one of the best knives I've ever handled. They've just got the knife SO right in SO many ways. If you haven't got one, you don't know what you're missing. A must for any collector. Am now buying the Military as I write... Looks like Spyderco have won me over and I feel daft for holding out on what has to be one of (if not the) the best pound for pound knife I've ever owned.

    Awesome product awesome company.

There's not a lot that I can say that hasn't been said already. The knife is not as big or awkward to pocket pictures do it no justice. When closed the blade is perfectly centred and when open you could easily shave hairs right out the box. The steel keeps a good edge the locking mechanism is one of the best I have used on any knife. The digital camo G10 scales are perfectly sculpted and offer lots of grip even in wet conditions. You get what you pay for and you get a lot from this knife.

stiff and broken after few uses

Posted by Davor on 2nd Dec 2014

Lost detant ball after several openings. Very stiff to open and close (blade is not free at all). Playing with it for more than 15 minutes hearts fingers used for unlocking (in my case, first 3 fingers and they are in pain for 1-2 days afterwards). Entire blade was not sharpened. Very short cutting edge compared to the lenght of the knife. Fun to open if we ignore the stiffnes (not fun to close). Handle has very good shape but is quite thin and not suited for longer use.

    Best Folder yet ?

Posted by Jimyamaha on 15th Oct 2014

Spyderco have produced an excellent Folder - the best yet , maybe ? The size is not to big , not to small. The blade is razor sharp out the box. Feels solid yet still light weight. Fits in the hand and the scales have lots of grip. And goes without saying that HH delivery was lightning fast ( how do they do it !?)

    bad profile, sorted by HH

Posted by shub on 2nd May 2014

At first I was over the moon with knife, then when I went to touch up the edge with sharpmaker I noticed the profile was out( unusual for spydreco). Sent it back to HH where richard reprofiled blade for me immediately, great service HH, anyway this classic spyderco knife now has a hairsplitting edge and its a joy to use.
