Description

Following in the footsteps of its groundbreaking bigger brother, the Spyderco Para Military 2 Salt, this remarkable expression of the Para 3 boasts a fullflat-ground blade crafted from CPM MagnaCut—a state-of-the-art particle metallurgy steel that offers an exceptional balance of edge retention, toughness, and superior corrosion resistance. The PlainEdge blade is cloaked in a non-reflective Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating and paired with a handle featuring peel-ply-textured black G-10 scales machined with our distinctive Caribbean Bi-Directional Texture pattern. To complement its blade steel and low-profile finish, the knife’s nested stainless steel liners, four-position pocket clip, and all other hardware are also crafted from marinegrade materials and feature matching black coatings.

    Magnacut Para 3

Posted by Stuart Constant on 7th May 2025

Purchased as soon as it was released as I wanted to check out Magnacut and believed Spyderco would be good quality. Razor sharp out of the box and brilliant action. Feels great. However having used it to cut a couple of envelopes, the edge has rolled. I'm not exaggerating, it was only a couple of letters and I noticed that the edge had been effected. I have had to sharpen it and I'm hoping it was just a dodgy factory edge. I have never had this happen on a Spyderco and hope it is now resolved.
