Spyderco Manix 2 XL

Absolutely love this knife! It’s a nice big solid folder, and great quality as you would expect from spyderco. Although it’s big I would happily EDC this knife if it wasn’t for our UK laws. The customer service from HH is top notch, Nick was really helpful. Will be back soon for the PM2

I bought this knife from HH a while ago, maybe 3 years from the date of this review and it saw very little in the way of use for a good year & a half. My PM2 was my go to knife for outdoors pocket carry. I loved the shape and feel of the knife but it languished in the bedside draw. However it has now seen extensive use doing everything from cardboard recycling to trimming branches and game preparation. I will say the jumping can cause hotspots with hard use but it does give great traction. If you have softer hands it may be advisable to wear gloves or toughen them up. Blade shape and geometry are superb for poking and slicing but I'd lay off any lateral stress on the top as it's a fine sharp thing. Great well built knife that gets better with use.

Yes, this is by far the best knife I've bought so far. I order the black blade version from Heinnie Haynes and in one week the knife had arrived - great service once again. The knife was a bit stiff to deploy at first but after opening and closing it for an hour or so it's now so quick to open that in my opinion it's quicker than my spring assisted knives. The quality of the Manix 2 XL is first rate, it's a solid knife with no blade play and the finish on it is just the best. I have a Paramilitary 2 Camo with black blade on order from Heinnie Haynes just now and after received the Manix 2 XL, I'm really looking forward to receiving another great knife from Spyderco. Rich

I only got this knife today but I just had to write a review! This knife is just oozes quality as you would expect from Spyderco. it Is big bold and beautiful, the blade came RAZOR sharp and the lock is absolutely awesome, USA made too what more can I say? Just bite the bullet and buy one, you will not regret it one bit!

I've had a Manix2 XL since early August and as soon as I had it in my hand it's never left my pocket. I absolutely love this knife. I have very big hands and the handle has excellent erganomics, melts into the hand. Premium materials with an excellent design and construction. Best money I've spent on a knife. Useful, durable and cuts like no one's business! I highly recomend you get one. As always exemplary service from HH! Best in the business.

This knife is rock solid yet smooth. Big size blade with a lot of edge, makes all tasks easy. Very sharp out of the package and good S30V steel retains its sharpness for longer. The handle is very comfortable and good jimping on the top for better grip. Overall it is comparable to the high end knives, the likes of Strider, Emerson, Benchmade etc
