Description

The original Lil’ Temperance was designed by Spyderco co-founder Sal Glesser as a compact yet heavy-duty folding knife suitable for defensive use. Over the years, Sal has refined the design several times, emphasizing its utilitarian function without compromising its hell-for-stout spirit.

This evolution of the Spyderco Lil' Temperence Lightweight is a venerable design which transcends previous versions by replacing their traditional G-10 handle scales with injection-moulded fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN). In addition to its light weight, FRN adds the extreme grip security of a deeply molded Bi-Directional Texture pattern. Stainless steel liners nested in the scales form the foundation of the knife’s high-strength Compression Lock mechanism and anchor its broad-based, four-position pocket clip.

The stout blade of the Lil’ Temperance 3 is full-flat ground from VG-10 stainless steel has a minimal ricasso to maximize its edge length.

    Lil Temperance

Interesting little but fat knife that people who think small knives are too small will like. Para 3 is better as a tool but this makes a worthy addition and has the excellent compression lock. Very fidgety and unlikely to let you down. The Persistance would make a good budget alternative (but smaller) and that can be had with a G10 handle (which I do prefer) Scales are quite sharp on the inside edges but have a lovely central dimple for thumb manouvres. I like it but it is quite expensive.
