Far away from city lights, the night and the environment can offer the most exhilarating experience. All you need to worry about is staying warm, dry and comfortable.

The Sleeping Bag is an ideal introduction to Snugpak's range of mummy style sleeping bags. These chunky, warm and comfortable bags are made to the same high standards as the rest of the range, with poly cotton lining that’s soft to the touch and provides considerable warmth.

The Sleeping Bag is identical to the Navigator - the only difference is the mummy shape which is designed to retain body heat, but does not open to form a blanket. It’s perfect for enjoying general camping and when using a car to carry your kit around.

Compression stuff sack included for compact carrying.
• Left handed zip style.
• Measures 22cm x 20cm when fully compressed.
• Temperature rating: Comfort -2°c, Extreme -7°c.
• Weight: 1700g (inc. compression stuff sack)

Too narrow at shoulders to use

Posted by backstopbob on 25th Feb 2019

This is a good budget 2 - 3 season bag. Or it would be if the dimensions were as advertised. The bag is 10cm + smaller at the shoulders which makes it impossible to use. Budget means heavy and LARGE. It packs down to 15 litres so is not an option if you plan for it to be carried.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Posted by Col on 14th Apr 2015

Just arrived !! . This bag is medium wieght and well put together, it feels like there's a bit of extra filling at the foot end, which might be a good thing and it has a full length double ended zip so you can vent it if needed . Only a couple of niggles, the zip looks cheap ( but works fine ) and Snugpak's claim that this bag packs down to 22x20cm , the best i could get was 22x30cm without the fear of tearing the stitching where the straps are sewn into the stuff sack , but even at this size it still fits into a rucksack. All in all a good bag for the money, i've not slept outdoors in it yet so can't comment on its performance hence the 4 stars but i expect it will be fine for 2/3 season use. The service from Heinnie was 1st class as usual , Thanks :)

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS ( UPDATE )

Posted by Col on 5th Jan 2015

The forcast said -3 tonight, so of i went into the wood where i have permission to camp/bushcraft and put this bag to the test. Sleeping about a foot above the ground ontop of a foil blanket and under a tarp, no fire. I woke about 2am feeling the chill of the cold night air all around me, and i was wearing my normal outdoors clothing inside the bag ( no jacket ) , so i put a fleece jacket on and this made a big difference. I woke up again at 6am and the surrounding fields were white with frost, so i would say it was at least -3. In my first impressions review i said this bag would be ok for 2/3 season use, now i would say 2 season unless you were in a tent to protect you from the cold night air and some good insulation underneath you :)
