Description

The Rough Ryder Reserve Rhino Toe goes one up on the Elephant Toe! It's bigger and off the scale "overbuilt" but still a superb tool and a breathtaking addition to any collection!

Designed by Andy Armstrong, it features two blades; one Wharncliff and one smaller drop point both of which are non-locking and under 7.6cm long making the knife legal to carry within the UK. 

The handles are blue denim Micarta with a nickel silver Triple-R Arrowhead shield. It also has nickel silver pins, brushed steel striped bolsters, and brass liners. It's 9.9cm closed and comes packed in a collectible Rough Ryder Reserve Tube Tin with a Rough Ryder Reserve microfiber cleaning cloth.

    Rough Ryder Rhino Toe - One for collectors only

    This is a similar design to the penknives I had as a child only MUCH bigger. It appears well made, and due to its size has a good weight. Unfortunately though, when folded the blades protrude by some distance. When using the knife the second, folded, blade is uncomfortable in the hand making it suitable for very short tasks or as a collectors piece only. Shame really, with a single blade the size of this knife would make it very comfortable for whittling.

    Of my ever growing UK legal collection, must be over 60 now, this is my first Rough Ryder. Having gone through life thinking you only get what you pay for, their low prices always led me to think they might not be of good quality or blunt. Or both. I took a chance on this knife however, as at over £80, I thought it might be ok, and if not I'd send it back to HH. Arrived within the customary 24 hours and I am not disappointed. Excellent quality and sharp. However I'll have to watch I don't fall into any deep water while carrying it though as it is so blooming big and heavy !!
