Lovely little working knife, 3 good blades and all tight and tidy.
Lovely knife in with subtle green micarta scales. 3 really sharp useful and beautiful blades. It's a budget priced premium quality work horse with a real touch of style. I love it.
Once again I'm not disappointed by RR, maybe the spring will be too strong for some peoples taste, with positive half-stops and snaps home. As usual, sharp out of the box and generally an attractive knife
Well, as the title says. Gaps in the backspring, proud pins ruining the smoothness of the micarta. Also a minor design flop - the swedges on the blades make the knife uncomfortable to hold. The micarta looks georgeous tho. Still a nice piece for the price.
Absolutely great knife at this price point. Micarta is good looking and feels good. Only gripe is that the main blade is a nail breaker when you open it ,however I'm sure this will ease with use.
Great fit and finish. I like the handle material. The 3 blades are really useful for all sorts of jobs. I like to use the sheepfoot for opening bales of hay and haylage and straw and also heavier tasks which it handles really well. The long clip blade is great for cutting string and plastic etc. Rough rider steel takes a great edge. I've had plenty of knives and they take a lot of use on the farm. I've never had any hold up as well as rough rider, and these knives are really easy to resharpen. Other knives I've had always take more sharpening.
I bought one of these for a friend's 50th birthday and liked it so much I bought one for myself! A lovely little knife, it has useful blades (eg the sheep's foot for cutting cords). They're all sharp out of the box and the knife itself has a solid weight and tactile feel. The delivery from HH, even under current restrictions, was exceptionally quick so, thanks to all for that. This is not a replacement knife for my various Swiss army and Leatherman knives; they remain useful and close at hand. This is just more traditional and it feels as if it will last for many years. Very happy with it.
Nice little knife this, all blades have half stops, fit and finish is good, no noticeable gaps anywhere. Only gripe is that the pull on the main blade is easily an 8-9, proper nail breaker. Otherwise, great value.
Great little knife. Very well put together. Tiniest of gaps in between backsprings but the rest is amazing quality. Very sharp. And after 5 minutes of stropping it is scary sharp. Which brings me to my only concern. Backspring strength is high. And the blades are so small and thin that when opening it up there's not enough to get a firm purchase on that it can slip and could easily draw blood. It has a good half stop on all blades which gives a little bit of reassurance when closing. Definitely happy with it though. Need to see how well it holds up once it's getting used
