Historically the cotton sampler knife was used by cotton buyers to judge the quality of cotton by rolling small pieces of material on the section before the blade. Still used in some areas of the States, Rough Rider produced this item as a collectors piece with historical significance.
The blade is 440 stainless steel with "Ram's Horn" artwork engraved onto one side. The handle is, obviously, Ram's Horn, with nickle silver bolsters.
The blade is non-locking and is under 7.6cm long making it a UK friendly carry knife.

For the price you can't go wrong nice addition to any collection. Interesting history behind the design. Rams Horn design.
As others have said, bargain for the money, sharp, comfy in the hand, the bolsters on mine came a little scuffed but a quick rub with a Cape Cod cloth and they were like new (and now scuffed again- :), unusual blade shape-great for the garden or slicing those apples ;). Excellent service as is the norm from the team at Heinnie! 1st class.

For under £16 you get a really good looking pocket knife. If you have been looking at this knife and wondering....shall I...shan't I. Then don't hesitate. Click the button and buy one now. Its about the size of a full size trapper but because of the blade shape it is legal carry (UK) The fit and finish for the price is very good and it came ultra sharp out of the box. The pictures you are looking at do not do it justice at all. I know its not a Case or Queen. But they are three or four times the price....and although they are good quality I have some that are not as good as these Rough Riders. Its the price of a curry and a pint.......don't mess about just get one :-) Ruukuu
