ROUGH RIDER JOBO KNIFE PICK PRY BAR

Posted by Richard Logan on 27th Feb 2024

If you have thin, weak or long fingernails, or your fingernails chip easily then this is the tool for you. You can use either end to place into the nail nick on a penknife and ease the blade into an open position (90°) and then open the rest of the way with your fingers. My daughter can already open all of mine and her knives all of the way open with it. The side crescents on the rounded end can also be used for striking a ferro rod - it gives excellent sparks. The squared end can also be used as a pry-bar. So this is a strong, sturdy and well made multi-purpose tool for knife owners - well worth the money.

    Great little pry bar

Very functional and well made pry bar, i like that it has the lanyard tube and also fits perfectly into nail nicks on the rounded end, life saver for me because i have no nails and problems opening stiff knives due to an injury and surgery to put my hand back together years ago, only thing to note is the image looks like green micarta, but i recieved natural coloured micarta, which i personally prefer since it will be easier to dye any colour i decide on at some point, very happy with it.

An absolutely cracking little bit of kit. So useful and much better than breaking the tips off blades to get things open!

First Rough Rider product I've bought and have to say it's good, micarta is nicely finished and the D2 nicely polished with the pin and lanyard tube being completely smooth, like it.

    Nice little tool

Bought this for a handy pry bar and striking tool and haven’t been disappointed. Micarta scales are smooth and are close in colour to the scales on my Libar, which makes a nice pair of UK legal pieces for edc. We’ll priced too compared to lots of other pry tools here and makes a good spark on a ferro rod. Recommended.
