Add to BasketBought this mainly for kitchen food prep use. At last a knife that can dice the onions but not the fingers at the same time. The blade thickness is <2mm, and cuts without effort and safe to use. Would be 5 stars, but loses a point on edge retention. Worth a go in any Kitchen.
Ok, it may be traditionally Alaskan, Eskimo, Inuit, whatever. It is, however, a really great addition to my kitchen. Primarily used for fine chopping, it's easy to sharpen and sits well with my Global knives! Get one!!

I was so impressed I bought the Blade-tech ULU.
I brought this really more for novelties sake as I have always wanted an Ulu. However, it has become indispensable in the kitchen, came very sharp, easy to use and easy to clean/maintain. My dad has arthritis and finds this knife very helpful compared to conventional designs. Only downside is that the blade has become a little wobbly with hard use.
This is a Fantastic tool for the kitchen. I'm going to buy one for my friend too. As always, the service and speed of postage was fantastic.
