    Excellent for the price

This is a lovely little folding knife. It would make a great everyday pocket knife to carry. Great value for money. It really saddens me that knives like this, a perfect pocket knife, are illegal as a day to day carry knife in the UK. Yet knives like the Lansky World Legal, which looks like a slab of tactical combat blade, are legal. The UK governments heavy handed legislation of lock knives and anything longer than 3" is tragic. Especially when most attacks are done with stolen kitchen knives. The French Tickler is a lovely pen knife. Perfect for everyday tasks and looks great doing them. The finish on this knife is good, but is slightly let down by a poor fit. With obvious gaps between the metal parts and the handle scales. Also, the metal edges of the handle are all unfinished and are razor sharp. However, for £12. It's a great value pocket knife.

    Gorgeous little knife

This is a lovely little knife. Build quality is second to none and if it was twice the price it would still be a bargain.

RR do it again with the French Tickler, awesome fit & finish, razor sharp O.T.B. Great back lock up & mechanism, light and agile, it looks great to boot, all for £9.95, a bargain.

    Pretty good knife

Posted by Outdoors Student on 13th May 2014

Overall I really like the knife , however... 1st one I ordered was flawed. The blade centering was so far off that the blade landed on the liner, not between them. Of course, Heinnie's fantastic service soon saw me with a replacement. My replacement came razor sharp, good blade centering, reasonable fit and finish (good considering the price), only a little play in the lock (both side to side and up and down). The back lock came a little stiff but nothing a little oil and use couldn't sort. The blade steel is quite soft but that just means easy re-sharpening. Rough riders in general are brilliant value for money IMO. I think it looks great, similar to a Lagouile knife, and I plan to get a lot of use out of it.

    Nice for the price

I got this just because it was cheap and so i did't expect much, but its actually a great little knife, well made, and came really sharp. There is the very slightest of blade play, but at this price its hardly worth mentioning. Really recommended.

This is a great knife for the price. The design has similarities to Lagouile knives but differs in that the blade appears to 'curve' downwards. A Classic. Great value. Lock is rock solid. Finish is superb for the price.

    Lovely!

Posted by Tim on 15th Dec 2011

This is my 3rd Rough Rider. I have the Peanut and the Gunstock. This one is equally as nice. It's a good size. The fit and finish exceed the price tag, hence the reason I bought another, just like the other two! There is a very small amount of blade play unlike the other two hence the 4/5 stars. This will be in my pocket tomorrow. I like it a lot. Excellent service from HH yet again!

This is my second Rough Rider I can't praise them enough what great value, pity they don't have any small pen knives.
