Don’t tread on me
I’ve had this knife for about five years now. This is one of my favourite knives. Every year since I’ve had it I’ve carved my Christmas turkey with it. It’s so sharp and easy to use. Best money I’ve ever spent.

The roots of the coiled rattlesnake "Don't Tread On Me" flag date back to the early days of the American Revolution. Attributed to South Carolina statesmen Charles Gadsden, it was used by infantry regiments. Today it remains an American symbol of freedom and tenacity in the face of oppression.
The knife features one clip and one spey blade both made from 440A stainless steel. The handle is yellow smooth bone etched with the coiled snake and "Don't Tread on Me" wording.

Beautiful knife to look out and hold in the hand. Bit disappointed that there's not much resistance as you open it as the spring in the slipjoint is a little feeble. Came sharp out of the box, for the money it's not a bad little knife. Becoming very impressed with Rough Rider knives.
Great service from Heinnie Haynes. The knife is great, Sharpe, Centred and Comfortable in the hand however the decoration isn’t good enough for a 5/5. The Yellow is dull and the logo isn’t clear. This is a budget priced knife but Rough Ryder have recently made very high quality knives in their budget range and this isn’t one of them. It’s not bad enough to ask for a refund but a brighter Yellow and a sharper design would have made this a Cracker instead of a Damp Squid. As a knife it’s fine but as a Collector’s Piece it could have been better.
Like it, mine's a bit darker than the picture and slightly uneven colour, gives it an impression of age. Sharp out of the box and a good firm action but no half-stop. Recommend it
Bought on a whim..it's a great bit of kit. Very sturdy and sharp. Feels well made and long lasting
This is another RR knife I have added to my collection; all have been razor sharp but this one is unbelievably sharp - it 's as sharp as a scalpel and you could probably perform an operation if so inclined. The knife is well made: no Chinese substandard product here. The cutting edge has an acute slope , as I say making it scalpel sharp. No chinks out of the blade and nice yellow scales. The spay blade is large and sharp enough to c* a bull elephant in seconds with it knowing. Well done RR
I decided to add a RR knife to my collection on a whim, but boy am I glad I did. for £10.95 I don't think I could ask for a better fit and finish out of the box, my example seems absolutely pristine. Both blades are slipjoints but have a very confidence inspiring lockup, the blades are certainly not going anywhere under normal use. Blade steel is 440A which is an OK steel, easy and quick to sharpen. I was hardly expecting D2 for the price. The laser etching on the bone scale seems well done. This knife is an absolute behemoth for a pocket knife. both blades came reasonably sharp, a nice acute anle, perhaps a little grabby for some but just right for me. HH service was outstanding as per usual, this knife made it's way to me in less than 24 hours, great show!
Got mine today and it bigger than I expected, maybe its because the barlow arrived at the same time. Everything fits nice and the laser engraving of the snake and warning is different, Blade springs are not as strong as the barlow or my coal miner, but this maybe due to the extra leverage? trying it again as I do the review its a little lighter spring pressure, but nothing to worry about. Ran the 3000grit stone over the blade to take the course factory grind out as I did on the barlow/coal miner, but all RR knives are the same not a issue but tidied up the blade edge gave it a bit more attention to detail. The blades though were really sharp out the box How Rough Rider makes them for the money, and HH gets them to your door so quick is amazing Don't have a trapper style knife and this is a nice addition.
