Outstanding Knife at a great Price. Inspired by a much more expensive and rare Bowie Knife, the Rough Rider Knife is Exceptional in its own right. A real Work Knife with a strong well ground very sharp edge. It's shape means it has excellent Chopping qualities while its balance and Hilt design ensures good retention and effect. A great Utility Knife for Shelter/ Fire building or for Food Prep etc. Combined with a reasonable Nylon Sheath, this is a great bargain Bowie. Mine was a most Welcome Gift but If anything happened to it I know I would replace it a.s.a.p. !
I bought the RR Black Mule as a general purpose work knife for dealing with fire logs and kindling. It is a magnificent looking knife, beautifully balanced and a nice weight. The grip is good and you do not feel uncomfortable even doing heavy work. I tried it out doing some batoning of dried logs that are generally very hard to split. The Mule went through them like a hot knife through butter. The back of the blade is quite wide which enables a mallet to get a good grip and it also acts as great wedge. The weight and balance of the blade make it great for using as an axe. All round it is a superb knife. Throw in the great price and you have a winner.
Yes it looks like a very famous expensive American branded one (that you cant get) but at a fraction of the price its a bargain, big solid strong and a great sheath, delivery in less than 24 hours so cant fault HH
