The Rockstead Sai ZDP is a quite exceptional knife. The quality of any Rockstead knife is beyond compare. It uses steel that can only be formed into a blade shape with endless processes and polishing and sharpening. The result is a knife that will slice through rope, boxes or wood with ease and will not require sharpening in its lifetime. This version of the Sai has a Prism DLC coated Titanium handle with a step design which is both practical and easy on the eye. The blade is locked in place with a linerlock and opens and closes extremely smoothly. The knife is supplied with a leather belt pouch.

Before I committed to buying the SAI prism, I scoured the web for reviews and images of both the black handled (more charcoal grey) standard blade shape model and this, the impressive tanto blade version with prismatic DLC coated titanium handles. I wanted the tanto blade, but wasn't sure whether the colours on the handle were going to be too vivid (think rainbow unicorn :). Fear Not !!! the finish is amazing and mesmerising. It is a perfect size and equivalent replacement / upgrade to the Rockstead Beetle I lost when my home was burgled. Absolutely insane tolerances and sharpness as expected from the infamous Japanese blademasters. GENIUS ! just like it's name
