The Real Steel GSlip Compact is, as the name suggests, a compact version of the Real Steel G-Slip but made exclusively for Heinnie Haynes®. It is UK legal carry as it has no lock and has a blade under 7.6cm and it has the famous Heinnie® red G10 handle.
Designed by Ostap Hel, the G-Slip is an extremely handy little folder and features a blade made from one of the best steels money can buy, VG10.
The substantial, sub-three-inch, non-locking blade has a great deal of resistance in the slip joint mechanism making it a superb choice for your UK-friendly, everyday carry, daily user knife.

Perfect UK legal EDC at a great price
I am very impressed with this penknife. The fit and finish is superb and the blade sits completely centrally between the liners when closed ( a feature I particularly care about). I love the 3/4 'stop' position. I'm not a fan of the elongated nail nick, not because of how it looks but rather because I find it difficult to use; you would naturally reach towards the tip of the blade to open it but here, the nick becomes very shallow and difficult to grip when opening. The scales provide a good grip but I'd be very interested in buying a wooden alternative. Delivery from HH was efficient, as always. Thank you.
I ordered this two days before I was departing for a 4-day camping trip in the Brecon Beacons, I had been toing and froing on this for a while but so glad I pulled the trigger. I have bought from HH before, and I knew I could count on prompt delivery. I was originally going to take my Victorinox Spartan and Opinel no.6, but left them behind for this G-Slip instead. The knife is great, the fit and finish is very well done for the price. The bright red G10 is pleasing to look at (no worries about forgetting where you put it down!) The G10 is a very common but practical choice, it grips well, even when wet. With gloves on, it's a littler harder to pull the blade out, but because the channel is quite long, it's quite straightforward once you get used to it. (Much better than a nail nick!) The blade is shaving sharp out of the box, I personally prefer narrower blades and flat grinds, which is both featured in this knife. It makes slicing through fruit etc much easier. I've only ever had VG-10 on kitchen knives, and so far, it hasn't disappointed. I ended up batoning kindling and some pieces of firewood quite frequently, and despite not having a lock, this knife felt secure. Obviously I'm not splitting logs with this, but it handled what I threw at it with ease and stayed sharp. This will be a staple in my kit going forwards I think. Light and compact, sharp and study. Thank you HH for a wonderful product!
This is yet again a very nice example of a beautifully made Real Steel knife with that touch of old HH’s colourful class add giving it that ohh there it is pop! The knife it’s self is a very nicely sized and beautifully made number ( the only thing that could get it a meh is the vg10 blade material) the knife is extremely well finished it has a very decent back spring not a close shut as soon as you bump it but not one that is ohh brother now this is like its got a lock! But just right it gives you the confidence factor plus the little bit of gimping at the underside of the blade gives you that extra bit of grip that really does help with keeping you safe or your awareness of what the blades position is in. The blade itself is perfectly ground and it can be fitted with a Real Steel Luna thumb stud which does make it easier on the opening ( please don’t be put off by any negative reviews on the Luna thumb studs they are beautifully made just don’t be a idiot and try tightening them up like a gorilla or you will round off the nut hole! ) all in all this Gslip is a very useful pocket knife that with it’s weight and simple wire pocket clip would be a great gift for yourself or anyone who you know and trust has the intelligence to use it for the job it has been made for! And not acting like some mini gangster dipstick
Very nice knife extremely well made and well finished. I find it a little fiddly to open but maybe that's because I have fat thumbs.
Excellent little knife. well made and extremeley sharp ootb, it'll be joining my Real steel Stellas in my edc rotation, very pleased with it and another addition to my Heinne Haynes exclusives collection
I saw this HH edition and thought I'm having it. It's a very slim knife but quite sturdy too. The tension on it shutting is nice and a decent strength too. The blade is very thin and slices through paper, fruit, parcel etc very easy. The blade had a bit of play in it side to side but very easy to sort. Unscrew the silver screw which reveals another screw underneath which tightens the blade. I did both side and added a touch of blue thread lock. It's been used lots and still rock solid with no blade play I'm quite happy with this knife and with it been UK legal it's a great buy for us UK residents
OK, so the perfect edc knife doesn't exist ! Or does it ? Well it depends. Variety is the spice of life and this is one fine spice of a knife. Firstly, its light and slim, with a full length usable blade and comfortable handle even in big hands like mine. But easy and discreet to carry. The red G10 handle has excellent texture and grip. It has a lightweight very deep carry pocket clip of excellent design with the ability to swap for left or right handers. Finally we get to the blade, wow, absolutely brilliant and usable profile. I'd actually go to say arguably the most versatile of all edc slipjoints. The blade has usable belly and comes to a nice speared point with a long deep nail grabbing groove along near its spine. I absolutely love this design. You can cut stuff, carve stuff, pierce stuff and at the end of the day, give it a clean and spread your toast with butter with it or prepare food ! A true all-rounder and in fantastic vg 10 steel ! And it has and excellent half stop and blade resistance to stop it snapping on your fingers in use. Question is ? Should I buy another, just incase ? I think I actually prefer this to the luna
