Welcome to the fold Real Steel Heinnie Haynes® Luna Red G10. This lovely little UK carry folder joins the ever increasing collaborations between Heinnie Haynes and some of the best knife manufacturers in the world. The Luna was a winner as soon as Real Steel brought it out, it's impressive streamlined and functional design made it a very popular choice with users and collectors alike. Now it has been given the Heinnie treatment with the handsome red G10 handle. And of course it is non-locking with a sub three inch blade so can be carried in the UK. The blade is made from D2 which incredibly sharp out of the box and is a hard resilient steel so won't need sharpening very often. It has a pocket clip and lanyard hole for carry options and to customise.

    Best UK EDC knife!

Posted by Johnny on 19th Sep 2020

Bought this a few days ago, and it's the finest uk carry knife I have seen! Beautiful to look at, comfortable to hold, D2 steel holds a razor edge and best of all - it fits in a jeans front pocket without you ever feeling it or seeing it.
Highly discreet knife to carry, but perfect for daily use. I think I'll be getting the titanium version too!

Great Value, but perhaps a little flawed...

Posted by Seamus on 11th Sep 2020

I'll keep it short because I've bought a lot of knives from HH of late, and I'm catching up on the reviews. First impressions are that the HH version of the Luna is a very pretty little knife, with the Red Heinnie scales. For £30 it's a steal, so you will be getting your moneys worth, but like others have said, it does have a couple of flaws. I really REALLY hate pocket clips. It's just a thing I have. I think they are generally useless little things, and they get in the way while also rendering a knife uncomfortable to use and less tactile. Unless the clip is a major design feature of a knife, removing it is always the first job with any knife I buy, regardless of how much I've shelled out. Why the clip has been made none removable, even to switch it to the other side for lefties, is unfathomable! I haven't yet, but I will be dismantling the knife shortly to see if I can remove the clip. I also have to agree with some of the reviews on here that the back spring is too weak, and could shut on you if the circumstances were right. That said, it still exudes far more quality than its £30 price tag would suggest, so I'm still very happy with my purchase, although for another fiver, at £35 the Heinnie CRKT Pilar blows the Luna right out of the water...

    Excellent item

Posted by Chris on 1st Sep 2020

I am so glad I purchased this blade. For the price it is excellent. I have used it for a good amount of woodwork as well as everyday tasks, and it holds up so well. I am super impressed with D2. It takes longer to sharpen than 3V, or other high end steels, but it holds an edge apparently just as well. I got this together with the Kwik Thumb Stud, which I recommend.

    Amazing little knife

Amazing little knife. Came out the box razor sharp. Seems really well made. Fits in the pocket really well.
Only thing I don't like is the skull image on the blade. And the fact you have to take the knife apart to remove the pocket clip. I'm not a fan of clips , much rather the knife deep in my pocket with a landyard attached.
Still gets 5 stars from me though !

    Buy this

As ever HH exemplified what customer service means. The knife itself is subtle, lightweight and razor sharp. It slips superbly into the wallet pocket of a suit jacket. I've added a quick clip for one hand opening, but most of the time I use the Knife without it. The epitome of a simple modern slip joint in lightweight materials. So far I have bought two. I recommend you buy at least one.

    Lovely little knife

Posted by Greg B on 25th Aug 2020

I don't tend to leave reviews, but felt obliged to add my thoughts on this knife. First of all, the usual Heinnie levels of service meant that it arrived crazily quickly, so a gold star for that. I have had an h told number of folding pocket knives throughout my life - my father having introduced me to them - and I can honestly say that this stands out with the best of them. There's a lovely "honesty" about it, compared to the sometimes over-engineered feel of the offerings from eg Spyderco and, for the price, the D2 blade is brilliant value. It arrived razor sharp and was immediately put to use opening various other deliveries I had to deal with. It glided through the cardboard, plastic etc of those without snagging once, and a tiny strop will keep it in top form. As a modern take on a traditional pocket folder, but with a lot of that same traditional feel, I heartily recommend it.

    Excellent

Really sharp and useful blade geometry. D2 Steel is perfect for this application. Made more useful with the addition of an after market thumb stud which allows for one handed opening.
Excellent service from HH again also for the thumb stud.

    Very good value for money

Posted by Tantor on 21st Aug 2020

I have been using this knife for a couple of weeks now. Used to have a Spyderco Dragonfly 2 as my EDC knife but since I´ve got this one the Dragonfly have been replaced for good.
This knife is my new best EDC knife. It comes razor sharp out of the box, gave my self a deep new cut the first dag while I was fiddling around with it. Thankfully the knife is so damn sharp that the cut healed quite fast.
I´m using my knife daily in my work as a handyman in Swedens oldest Rockclub and this knife has become the best EDC knife I´ve ever used. With the Kwik Thumb Stud mounted it is super eazy to open one handed. The blade is perfectly shaped for cutting up cardboard, sharpening pencils, cutting ropes, scale cabels and more.
If anyone is in the market to find a good and perfectly priced EDC knife look no further. This is the perfect buy!

Reason I gave it 4 stars is the blade wasn’t sharp at all apart from that I can’t see a reason to spend anymore money for a uk legal carry the D2 imo is decent quality overall a great little blade
