These Real Steel Heinnie® collaborations celebrate Heinnie Haynes' 25th birthday. There are four to collect, each one named after the location of the business at different periods in the Heinnie® story!

They are all UK legal carry, having a non-locking blade under three inches long. Simple in design yet highly effective in use they will be equally at home in a tough working environment sitting in your pocket or on your wall in a frame!

The Real Steel Atlantic brings the story bang up to date and refers to Heinnie's current HQ at the Atlantic Gate Estate in Barry, near Cardiff. This knife has a spear point blade and, like the others, features the Heinnie® 'H' cut out of the handle and engraved onto the blade. Each one has it's own individual number (sorry you can't choose which number you have!) and has a pocket clip and lanyard hole to accessorise as you wish.

    REAL STEEL HEINNIE® ATLANTIC

Posted by Tim on 6th Feb 2024

I will say before I go into detail that this knife is worth the price. There are pros and cons. As others have mentioned the “H” cut out of the handle is quite sharp, disappointing as this knife would be great, deep carry clip very very slim scales. With a very nice tension on the blade/handle. If they would just “etch/engrave” the scales it would be 5*

    Curse the branding...

Posted by Andrew Garrard on 1st Nov 2023

For the price, a well-designed little blade, which feels reasonably robust and has a much nicer action than some other budget knives. It would be nice if it had a half stop for safety, but the back spring is quite strong and the blade is stable in use. The slightly snub nose makes it a little more annoying to aim for a pocket package opener than I would have liked, but that's a trade off and not the fault of the manufacture; it makes it look a little less threatening, which is probably good for a quite large blade (by UK EDC standards, which means it dwarfs a Bantam Alox despite being the same thickness and only slightly longer closed). It is what it is - it's not exotic steel and the grip isn't quite as comfortable as a larger knife especially if you need to pull on it. Hard to complain at the price, though. My biggest problem is the HH cutouts. I appreciate the branding exercise, but they're sharp edged and a shape that will catch on other things in a pocket (at least soft options that I don't want trashed, like a Nanobag). Had they been etched rather than cut through this would replace my Bantam in my fifth pocket. They don't make the handle uncomfortable, and if you kept it in a slip to avoid scratching or tearing anything else it wouldn't be an issue, but it's annoying for a "so thin you can EDC it with other items" design, hence my slightly harsh loss of a star.

    Atlantic

Could be the perfect edc knife...........have owned many of knives over the years & this has everything, price, fit & finish, slim, strong, deep carry, no snap back like victorinox although locks up as tight, blade is wider & slightly thicker than a comparitive alox & uk legal. Really great knife.

    Essential, affordable EDC

Posted by Simon on 3rd Mar 2023

I think of this as a 'real' EDC knife - it's so slim and light you can slip it into your pocket and just forget about it until you need it. The UK-friendly spec means that you can carry it without any worries about having to prove that you have a valid reason for doing so, and the deep-carry pocket clip is a) ambidextrous and b) very dscreet and inconspicuous. The blade is very sharp out of the box, easy to make even sharper, and large enough to be useful for a wide variety of everyday tasks. All this, plus the cool factor of being a Heinnie limited edition , at a bargain price! By the way, this blade is identical to the Boker Plus Atlas, though that has a number of different handle options.

    Sleek and sharp...

Posted by Dalibor Berek on 22nd Feb 2023

Well, I got my knife today after ordering yesterday and it's light, sharp out of the box, cuts like razor. Smooth opening and no half stop but no danger for the fingers because it doesn't "snap" while you're closing the blade... Lovely and beautiful knife! Heinnie Haynes delivery fast as usual also. Love you guys!

    Heinnie Atlantic

Great xmas present, brilliant value for money. Like the spearpoint blade, beautifully sharp, light, solid, legal - what's not to like. Even more pleased than I thought I'd be. Recommended.

    Simple but quality

Posted by Mat Jordan on 20th Dec 2022

The Heinnie Atlantic is such a straightforward little knife, but it's really well put together. A robust, plain steel handle with the H cut out and a substantial high carbon blade which clunks into place satisfyingly. It's slim - only 5mm thick if you take off the clip - so it fits really nicely into a survival kit (which is what I wanted). Overall an excellent bit of kit.
