For the price this jacket is fantastic. There are many good points which are brilliant but there are a couple of little bits which could be better. The front pockets are good and deep (and go upwards as well so you can fit papers / maps inside them without any issues). But if the zips went down instead of up it would save any rain from getting in while using them to keep your hands warm. A better solution might be to have "slash" packets at the bottom of the jacket for this purpose. I am a knuckle dragger (arms longer than my legs) and so bough the XL size to fit my arms. This has led to a snug fit around the body (when worn with a thick jumper so this should be better during the Summer) which while not uncomfortable, does make things a bit awkward when sitting down with the jacket done up. The sleeve pockets are excellent and will accept most things being carried without being uncomfortable. I have not tried the hood as yet but have checked it and am very impressed with the size and coverage offered. I will be honest I do prefer a cap normally but with bad weather the hood will get some use. I ordered this in the Wolf and am most impressed with the colour. It looks good when worn with jeans or with work trousers. I have worn this in heavy rain and been completely dry inside. The jacket did not take too long to dry out either (totally dry within about 30 minutes after being hung up to dry. The zips are quite strong and appear to be more than adequate for the design. The rear pocket is great. Having zips on both sides for a through pocket make the design really user friendly. I normally carry a MOAB10 (also in grey) which means that I can reach the pocket from either side without any impediment. Just a quick word regarding the delivery on this. HH really met all expectations on this. I ordered on the first day back from the Christmas break and received the jacket the next day. Yes OK I paid extra for the delivery but knowing how busy the couriers would be over this period they still managed to do the business. This is not my first order from HH and it will certainly NOT be my last. From start to finish the service from HH is the finest I have ever received.
did a lot of internet research....reading and looking at reviews on youtube or outdoor&survival websites...lots of them mentioned the Artaxes Jacket and they all loved it...well so do i! you probably cannot buy something better in this price-range. the HH service is, as i also read in the reviews on their website, very good. i will order again.
