The Ontario Rat II is a fantastic little liner lock knife which has so many potential uses. It features decent AUS-8 stainless steel which is highly corrosion resistant and very easy to re-sharpen. Ontario have also fitted the knife with two thumb studs which are perfectly positioned for left of right single hand opening.
The linerlock mechanism on the Ontario RAT II is really smooth. It engages nicely and can be disengaged with no problem at all when required (the jimping on the liner really helps with disengaging the lock).
The handle on this version is black FRN (there are other versions with different colours available) and provides plenty of grip, no matter the conditions. The scales have also been nicely contoured which makes for really comfortable holding! The handle also includes a removable and adjustable pocket clip which can be placed in any of four positions on the handle depending on which carry position you prefer.
In summary you get a great quality knife for not a lot of money!

Put simply this knife is stunning for the price. It's blade is razor sharp, well centred and the whole knife is superbly built with very close tolerances. I had purchased a more expensive spyderco knife that I sent back as I was unhappy with the finish. When this one turned up I was amazed just how much better built it is. The crowning glory is its one hand opening, it's beautiful. It opens easily with a flick of the thumb and locks up solid with zero play in any direction. Its so good I'm planning on buying the RAT 1 as well Recommended
This is top quality EDC and worth every penny, very sharp and very smooth operation. Not too big not too small. Rock solid in operation and the choil and gimping are placed perfectly for precise tasks. Cannot find fault in this at all, this is surely a bargain for the price. Highly recommended.

As soon as this little beauty arrived I knew I had to get another. This is a truly superb little knife which I am sure will get lots of usage especially over Christmas. Comes razor sharp out the box. Love the Full size RAT I but just too big for everyday tasks. The RAT II is a scaled down version but just as well built and sharp. Highly recommended.
