Old Forge Three Piece Wood Carving Set 18

The good things, the handles are full sized and fit your hand pretty comfortably. The blades seem to be pinned to the handles well. The not so good. The grinds are not good out of the box and the blades are fairly dull. It's going to take a little time on the stones to get these knives sharp enough for wood carving. The set is a great gift if the receiver can sharpen. A nice box, nice pouch and it looks the business. I have to agree with the other guy, go for a Mora, Hultafors or Beavercraft ect.

I think these will be good for small carving projects and good for the price. They take a little work to get them sharp

These are a good sturdy + sharp set - the belt pack included is pretty cool to carry with you out for walks too. Exactly what I wanted/needed for carving on the go.

If you know how to sharpen a set of knives they are ok for the price, as they come quite blunt. They come in a nice protective pouch which is probably the highlight of this set TBH! Next time i would save the money for Mora or flexcut knives

Three tools in sensible nylon pouch if you can get over the tacky embroidery . The pouch has a belt loop making the tools portable. I have some expensive tools which only came in a plastic tube. Blades are sharp OTB but can be improved. Yet to find out their edge keeping capabilities. The handles are substantial and blades are brass riveted tohalf way up the handle. The tools are comfortable to hold and use These tools are not as good as Flexcut but they are substantially cheaper and will make a useful addition to my carving tools and will be easy to replace if lost.
