My Parang Golok 135 and 125 were exclusively hand made in Malaysia using the finest materials available and traditional methods.

The blades have been made from hardened 5160 carbon steel from Bidor, Perak in Malaysia, whereas the Beech wood handle is sourced from Croatia.

The traditional rat tail construction has been a proven design which endured the test of time and evolution. A brass pin was added under the collar for added confidence.

Available in 2 blade lengths: 31.0cm (12.25") and 28.5cm (11.25")

Awesome....work of art but chops like an axe. Not razor sharp but easy to improve, sheath is very good quality but design is no good. The golok is very high quality build and not knocked off in some shed as you might think. Handle is very solid and hasn't loosened at all even after heavy chopping. Shame about the sheath..beautifully made but not at all secure. Still...you could put this thing on your wall and admire it...or use it hard.

First of all ill start by saying I got the 135 version, but I cant see the 125 being much different other than slighly smaller. The main reason I chose this blade over many others was the fact it was handmade using traditional malaysian methods. Its a fantastic blade, and kind of resembles a huge kitchen knife but performs like something in between a machete and kukri. The balance is lovely making it easy to work with all day, while still being slightly front heavy for some chopping. It goes through brambles and underbrush like nothing is in its path, live green wood is probably what its made for, but is more than capable of standing up to hard dried wood and keeping a sharp edge after a days work. Theres only one negative I can think of and that has to be the sheath, but I knew that before buying it which is why I wont be knocking a star off it. The blade is certainly worth the asking price wirhout the sheath.

This is my best knife I've ever hold in my hands. Now, I don't need a machete, this tool is the master, I call it THR BEAST. Great!

MORE OF A LARGE KNIFE THAN MACHETE BUT HAS DONE VERY WELLSO FAR IN MY JUNGLE OF A GARDEN.EASY TO SHARPEN AND MY WORRIES ABOUT THE RAT TAIL TANG SEEM TO HAVE VANISHED.NADIR CAN GIVE ME A NEW ONE IF I BREAK THIS.VERY NICE INDEED.
