    Mora Kansbol knife

Posted by Nick Herbert on 21st Dec 2021

Firstly and as this is yet another irritating review request, I have deducted a star for the annoyance factor alone - do Mora and HH may read into that what they will. The knife is exactly as expected from Mora: razor-sharp out of the box, sharp spine for tinder scraping and fire-steel striking, plus a comfortable, non-slip grip for big hands. Use the drain holes in the sturdy sheath for attaching cord for neck-carry or bag strap, though belt-hanging will be most preferred method. Possibly the best all-purpose Mora you can buy - and definitely much better than the BLUNT Mora Garsberg (their failed foray into the full-tang field), which we hope has been withdrawn now..! HH - please pass that last bit back to Mora…! Finally, don’t buy A Kansbol - buy Two. Even at the HH price, it’s a bargain Bushcraft essential..!

    Good value camp knife

Great for food prep and light bushcraft. Very well balanced. Small amount of rust showing though. Surprised as it's stainless steel. Excellent service from HH. l

    A utilitarian masterpiece!

Posted by Martin Atton on 13th Jan 2020

I live in a rural area, as does my middle aged son, his son and two daughters. As a proud grandfather I am pleased to say that my son and his three children each have a Mora knife. The four of them all own a different model! I have just joined the Mora club with my own recently purchased Kansbol. Manufactured to a very high standard and superbly designed. All the blade grinds are spot on and the extra fine grind at the tip makes for efficient skinning and provides a terrific fl*sh slicing capability. The much heavier wedge grind nearer the handle gives plenty of strength for powerful cutting when dealing with wood in the forest. The ergonomics are superb, with a very comfortable grippy handle that fits into my large hand perfectly. The knife was razor sharp right out of the box and I was also impressed by the simple but very durable sheath that holds the knife firmly in place. Mora seem to have the bushcraft fraternity very well provided for, by manufacturing knives at various price points, utilising both carbon and stainless steel. All the knives are made to be used and the designers are clearly outdoor enthusiast themselves. The common theme running through the whole range, is just how well they are made for the purpose they are designed for and that every model will serve you well in the woods and outdoors in general. My son is a responsible parent and supervises his children on their trips to the woods. I am so proud to see them all developing the practical skills that hopefully they will be able to pass on to their own children one day. All in all, another great knife to add to my vast collection. Lightweight, beautifully designed and built to be used as a wonderful versatile tool. So obviously designed and manufactured by outdoor enthusiasts. Mora really know what they are doing!
